Pandora 162
Demi Lovato wasn’t just grossed out by Lady Gaga’s puking stunt at SXSW  she was also disappointed. As you all know, Debbie Lovato slammed our gal Gaga for ha very ARTPOP performance at SXSW. "Sad… As if we didn't have enough people glamorizing eating disorders already. Bottom line, it's not 'cool' or 'artsy' at all," she wrote. But Lovato's war of words against the pop star didn't end there. She added, "Would you let someone bring a needle and shoot up on you? Addiction is addiction." "It's not 'shade' and it's not 'hate,'" she explained. "But if someone has to come forward and say it…I'll take the heat for it. Putting the word ART in it isn't a free card to do whatever you want without consequences." She then tweeted directly to Gaga and said, "you're SO talented, if not one of the most talented in our industry PERIOD. Dope is INCREDIBLE.. but you don't have to do that." SO, Now that we've had 3 weeks pass by, a new music video, a Roseland residency.. What do you think of the whole situation? Is the 'Neon Lights' smash-hit ( ) singer right? Was Gaga wrong? Were we waiting for someone to bang the gong? Discuss.

Solar 604
She's just a ***cat like most of the people in the world, including me. But the difference is that I understood the statement behind the performance. There is a strong artistic content.

Miranda Sings 1,705
I think she misunderstood the performance. It wasn't to glamorize bulimia. It was disgusting, but that was the point.

LStephens11 15
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The vomit performance wasn't my thing - I've come to appreciate it now since my first viewing and initial meltdown - but it is performance art. Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable. I feel bad for Demi - clearly she is the only one who thought of that performance as glamorizing an eating disorder. Gaga clearly stated that the song was about rape and has talked about the s-xual abuse that Swine discusses in every performance of Swine since September. It's not a shocker. I feel Demi might have realized her little star was fading and used SXSW as a platform to get ner name back out there. Also, the whole "shoot up" comment - was she implying that Gaga shoots up? And I also find it interesting that she said Gaga was one of the greatest period or whatever, but mentioned Dope - what a random track. Maybe I'm just reaching. Either way, Demi needs to take several seats. I like her okay, but she freaked out over nothing.
