France is a ridiculous small market and they mostly follow like sheeps.

She just needs that one big international hit (hopefully Venus) and they'll be back on board as if nothing happened.

That's wrong.

It's the 5th biggest market behind the US, Japan, the UK and Germany.

French music is very successful here but international pop singers aren't as big as in the other countries.

It wasn't really successful in France, but let's hope Venus will be! She just needs one big performance there and maybe one interview/show, whatever...

You are wrong. France is one of the most important music markets and the #2 most important country for touring in Europe.

Stromae's impact is really huge in France. Rihanna is still in the Top100.  :golfclap:

Jesus, even Roar is out of the Top 10?

France is TOUGH.

Especially considering Katy just did promo there one week ago or so.

Americano

Is it all just reliant on radio? I notice pop girls here struggle with airplay.

I hope Venus can go Top 5 like Applause at least before its inevitable fall. Hopefully promo will follow.

France is TOUGH.

I told you Katy wasn't as big in France as she was in the US. Believe me !

Rihanna and Shakira are the biggest international female popstars imo.

I guess that's because french people like urban music (Rihanna has huge airplay because pop radios and urban radios broadcast her music) and french/latin music (Shakira).

Do What You Want might chart higher than Applause. It's a strong #1.  :excited2:

(And there's a problem with iTunes because you can't buy the song at the moment).
