I feel like The Fame era was one where Gaga managed to blend fashion with theater really well and so was actually followed style-wise as someone who had an influence on fashion trends. Born This Way gave some amazing looks but not in that same way it was much more costume, but ARTPOP seems to be back to her as a fashion figure. She's been avant-garde and brought some edge to the table, but she's also done it in a very stylish, fashionable, chic way. Fame era everyone was dying over shoulder pads etc. and she was a massive part of that with her look, there was a whole 80's influence on style that time and now when minimalism has become the look of the moment in the fashion world, she's managed to hit that nail on the head as well, but in her own Gaga way.
