So, yes, this is yet another thread to promote a song for this contest :

Other members have already created threads to promote their own song, so why not doing this too ?

So this is my song :

I'll explain the meaning of the song as I did in the original thread :

The lyrics are about social anxiety, how it feels, how I deal with it and how I feel with other people's reactions.

In the verses I talk about how it feels on a daily basis, not being able to connect to others properly and not being able to have social relationships. It's also about my frustration when other people don't understand this.

So the chorus is a conclusion to this, to all these moments when I'm finally making progress and other people just destroy it with things like “oh I've never heard you talk that much”, “oh, so you have a tongue ?”.

It hurts me so I tried to show it in the music, but it also angers me so I tried to show that ragey vibe in the song. It's something I talk about later, in the bridge : my behavior may let people think I'm really quiet but I can get bad-tempered and I'm less nice and stable than it may seem. So the outro is an explosion, where I show my personality. At the end, I put a lot of dialogues, and they become louder and louder as the singing fades away. This is, to me, the voices of other people who destroy my own voice. I started the dialogues in English and then continued to French, to show that it's not understandable for me, chitchat is like another language I can't talk.

The intro and the bridge are about this in a more metaphorical way, with references to spiritual and religious things.

 

I would love some (positive and negative) feedback on this song, I know there are some problems but I was not good enough or didn't have time to fix them. Keep in mind that this is my first song ever. Also, please listen to the other songs in the competition !

Well, that was interesting. If the production were more professional, your song could be really great! It describes social anxiety pretty well; confusing, pressuring and terrifying. Keep on working on music, I'm sure you could create some crazy stuff!

Thanks ! I'll think I'll rework on it later, when I'm better at production, to make a cleaner and better version.
