Erm.. I was born in 2000 and everyone my age knows who she is? I was 9/10 during her peak and TF/TFM/BTW, although I used to dislike Gaga, was the music of my childhood. And that's saying something given I was never a fan. Maybe it's cause you're from a different country, but at least in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia she was inescapable when we late millennials were growing up.
