I have a feeling that she used this sort of vocal on ASIB, especially since she will be playing a young, up-and-coming artist (for part of the movie, anyway). She was probably practicing her vocals a lot for the movie since they recorded all the singing scenes live...which definitely benefitted the tour as well.
