She also stretches out eras very well, so even if she doesn't release an album for two and a half years, like Rated R, it won't feel like its been that long. It certainly feels as if Rihanna has never gone away for the last seven years. A lot of people were shocked when they found out that she's just turned 24. Considering that she's working on her seventh album and had countless singles, quite a lot of people thought she was maybe late twenties by now. She does look a lot older in pictures! She's touring in early 2013 (why she waited this long, I don't know) and she says it's going to be "bigger and more impactful than anything I've ever done before." I think she was starting to realise, what with the underperformance of her new album and that fact that she's only had two hugely successful albums (GGGB and Loud), that the public is getting bored of her and she needs to take a break to make some truly great music. I'd be happy if she pulled a Christina and took a four year break from the business. Considering all she's done, she's long overdue a break of that magnitude.
