So Risk, that doc about Assange, is out and I copy pasted from some of the reviews the things they said about Gaga's part:poot:

"Lady Gaga, in a bizarre cameo, is freer with her questions. But it's hard to quibble with the result."

-Associated Press

" At the film’s most surreal moment, by which time Assange has claimed asylum in London, Lady Gaga pays her respects and films an inane interview, peppered with questions about his favorite food and who’s “after” him."

-Washington Post

"In the film’s most jaw-droppingly surreal interlude, Lady Gaga drops by the Ecuadorian embassy to interview Assange in his captivity — and for all her loopy questions (“What’s your favorite food?”), she comes off as the saner mind by far."

-LA Times

"A shot of Assange being guided through a thronging crowd outside a London courthouse has an eerie rock-star beauty, but a later one of him being interviewed by Lady Gaga in the cramped confines of the embassy suggests a certain banal vanity."

-The Wrap

"We see Julian boxing with a trainer to stay in shape, Julian gazing out the window — and in yet another strange twist, Julian welcoming Lady Gaga into his cramped quarters, where she proceeds to turn on a tiny video camera and record an interview with him (as the documentary records the recording of the interview). In what is hardly the only act of theater in this film, Gaga tells Assange to change out his spiffy suit and put on a “dirty f—ing T-shirt” so he’ll look the part of the oppressed political prisoner.Gaga peppers Assange with random questions from “What’s your favorite food?” to “Do you love your mom?” and appears to grow restless with his dry, detached answers. As Assange lists the various agencies and governments out to get him, she interrupts and says, “So basically, a lot of f—ing people.”

-Chicago Sun Times

"Of all the vignettes that illuminate Mr. Assange’s state of mind and spirit, the most surprising is a visitation, in the form of an interview, from Lady Gaga. There she is, camera in hand and dressed like Margaret Hamilton’s witch in “The Wizard of Oz,” lobbing softball questions at this heaviest of digital hitters. “How do you feel?” she asks. “I don’t care how I feel,” he replies, having already explained that he’s obsessed with political struggle and not a normal person. “Who is after you, Mr. Assange?” Her inquiry provokes an outpouring that won’t be stanched. He names 12 U.S. intelligence organizations for openers, then rattles on in that vein until Lady Gaga interjects, briskly, “So a lot of people.” As interviewers go, she seems earnest, but she gets the job done."

-Wall Street Journal

" (And the idea that someone like Lady Gaga might hope to fill the gap, as she attempts to do in a surreal, solidarity-oriented visit to the Ecuadorian embassy, is downright ludicrous.) "

-Variety

"The film permits itself a single note of humor when it captures a bizarre interview of Assange by a black-clad Lady Gaga, who gets a laugh when she expresses shock at his cramped living quarters. She asks personal questions, which he dodges (“What does it matter how I feel?”) while filming him on a tiny vidcamera (as she is obviously being filmed herself by Poitras’ crew). As he rattles off a seemingly endless list of agencies and institutions who have him in their sights, Gaga cuts to the chase with a curt: “So, a lot of people are after you, eh?”

-The Hollywood Reporter

" Out of all the moments of real-life cringe comedy featured in the present version of Risk—whether it’s Appelbaum making an AIDS joke to an audience of female Muslim hackers in hijabs or Assange putting on a bad one-man show of paranoia during a conversation in a private park—the one that sticks is a painful interview with the WikiLeaks head honcho conducted by Lady Gaga (of all people) at the Ecuadorian embassy where he has lived since 2012. The scene plays like a reversal of the infamous meeting between Donovan and Dylan in Don’t Look Back, as the pop star remarks that Assange’s messy private quarters look like a dorm and then proceeds to interrupt every one of his deliberate, long-winded answers.

Risk asks haltingly whether it’s possible to separate a set of ideals from its most prominent spokespeople and their not-so-privately held beliefs, but never musters a conclusive stance on the question. But in the Lady Gaga interview sequence, it hints at how organizations that are ostensibly against tyranny can enable unchecked egos. Once you represent an ideal, there will always be someone ready to listen and nod—provided they aren’t more famous than you."
