Have your professors or teachers ever talked about Gaga in class?

The day after the Super Bowl my law professor said that a great legal argument will always conclude with a strong "Lady Gaga mic drop moment" and proceeded to demonstrate it.

Also when I was in college, my speech professor showed us her black and white Dont Ask Don't Tell video to the Senate where she sits on the phone staring into the camera for multiple minutes. He said that it was a good example of unique persuasive speech that didn't follow traditional structure. :kara:

My accounting professor one time used TMB as an example of "accounts payable" when Monsters pay Gaga ahead of time for a ticket, she then has to account for a liability to "pay" us with a future show. :firega:

Also one time I was giving a presentation about why marijuana should be legalized at least for medical use since research shows it's not addictive and my professor asked "Didn't Lady Gaga say she was addicted to Marijuana?". I started following Gaga during ARTPOP so I didn't know all the details about her hip incident and extensive marijuana use but I told her that it would have likely been more of an emotional addiction rather than physical. Sort of like an addiction to unhealthy food. Anyone know more?

Of course. The first time a teacher mentioned her it was in 2010 and she compared Gaga to reality shows phenomenon, she said both were useless. :sure:

Then a year later, my arts teacher asked us to transform a Lady from the 1700s into Gaga. This teacher loved her.

In HS, a teacher told me she liked her while another thought she was crazy. This happened in 2013-14, so Gaga was still in a sense relevant.

Actually my high school English teacher used to talk a lot about Gaga during classes. He always told us about how he never liked her pop songs but loved when she went "unplugged", that she was incredibly talented and was the best thing that happened to popular music in the recent past and always encouraged us to watch her acoustic performances. Once when we were learning about future tenses in English he even included a sentence like "Lady Gaga is going to perform in Croatia tonight" in the test. :queenga:

I remember the first class after that I went to see Gaga live in the artRAVE in Vienna, he was so excited and asked a lot about how it was.

Later on he told us that her favourite preformer was Madonna, but he was slayed by Gaga's Oscar performance of TIHTY, he even posted it on Facebook. :staymad:

Omg yas I'm from Croatia give that promo to my queen and my country :cryga:

One of my teachers is one of her biggest fans! She even knows all the choreo and stuff, the other day we were dancing to Judas! She's so awesome, she even went to the ArtRave in Athens, and she took some of her students with her. I was so shocked when I found out that she was a Little Monster, but slowly, everything started to make sense (She also loves RuPaul's Drag Race!!). She's definitely one my favorite teachers, not just because of our common interests but because she's friends with her students and she truly cares about them.

One time my Spanish teacher called her Lady Caca. Caca means poop in Spanish. Never saw him again because I always ditched fifth period :whitney: this was during the ARTPOP era. I was such a stan. Everyone knew me as the kid who loves Lady Gaga :poot:

It happened a lot in college, not in high school as far as I remember...

I already talked about that, one day my art teacher was talking about art and contemporary art I think, and he said "you must know Lady Gaga..." so I became crazy and said "YES OPSJDICS" so he understood I was a fan and we started talking about her... He didn't know her very well and thought she was just doing things to be provocative, so for example I explained the meaning of the meat dress. He asked if she talked about that in her songs so I said yes, there's a whole album about this etc, and she talks about a lot of other things too, so he knew she didn't just do cheesy love songs or something like this.
I remember there had been a party the previous night so all the students had a hungover and they didn't understand what we were talking about with the teacher :air:
And maybe I opened up his mind a little and made him discover Gaga, because a year later, he was showing us some various artistic videos and Born this Way MV came at one moment, and I was the only one who knew it and I was excited. It's only when the music started that people realized it ws Gaga.

I had a video teacher who taught us motion graphics design (animated videos to make it short). So the first class we had with him, he showed us some examples of this type of videos, and he told us that lyric videos were part of this. And he showed us the lyric video for Aura. Then he talked to us about a site where you can rate movies, books, music etc and I checked his profile and saw he loved Gaga, ARTPOP etc. So later when we were asked to do videos in motion graphics design I did a lyric video to Swine because I had ideas and when I told him I saw he was glad, like "oh cool she likes Gaga too".

And finally, negative this time, I had a marketing teacher who was explaining to us the AIDA model. It stands for Awareness/Interest/Desire/Action. In a nutshell, when you elaborate a marketing strategy, you do something that raises awareness in the customer, then their interest etc until they buy the product, so the action phase. She talked about great examples of this and then took Lady Gaga and the meat dress as a bad example, saying that it was just for attention but there was nothing behind so it didn't make the public interested, desireful and wanting to buy what she did. I was angry and wanted to explain the meaning to prove it was foolish but it would have been too long and complicated :madge:
