Her voice isn't versatile enough to keep the album interesting from track to track and her lyrics are going downhill. She's too focused on wanting to be a delinquent and not enough on overall quality, but her desired image comes through in full-force. It's listenable and is somewhat enjoyable. She's essentially doing what Sky Ferreira was trying to do with Night Time, My Time, but actually knows what she's doing. not you describing Ellie Charli XCX has a strong voice, and she has a personality that isn't forgettable which is what makes albums go from basic pop fodder to something with replay value Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Typical. Charli's voice ranges from high-pitched whines to cutesy pouts... It works for her style but isn't going to get her anywhere compared to other artists. That's just stupid I'm not saying she was a lyrical goddess to begin with, but... Its not that shes necessarily downgrading her writing, but shes writing in a style that mimics commercialism and pop-punk stuff because thats the concept of the album?
