Lady Gaga's stunning tribute performance to Carole King at the 2014 MusiCares Gala finally aired on AXS TV on Sunday night.

"It is my absolute privilege to be honoring such an incredible woman, a true musical genius, miss Carole King," Gaga told the crowd.

"When I was in high school," she added. "I would sometimes have really rough nights, where I’d get so nervous and up all night and didn’t want to go to school and face the world. And I used to close all the doors to Dad’s man-room and I would crank this song so high. And I really believed so much, Carole, that you were my friend… Thank you for inspiring us, female songwriters, every day."
