Elton John says Lady Gaga's new music is 'really, really fantastic'

Elton John is one of Lady Gaga's closest friends, so it's not wonder that he is among the few people to have heard songs from Mother Monster's next album, due out in 2016. And if his words are anything to go by, we're in for another incredible Gaga record!

"We were all on stage together at the Rainforest concert in New York with Bruce Springsteen, Sting, and James Taylor," he said before introducing Gaga's hit song "Bad Romance" on his Beats1 radio show. "And Springsteen was saying 'God, I wish I had written that song.' You can hear Bruce actually singing 'Bad Romance,' its a real Springsteen-type song."

He continued: "She's a great friend of ours and she's a wonderful godmother to our two sons. She's in the process of writing her new album. I've heard some of it and it's absolutely fabulous. She's been doing really different things: she did The Sound of Music on the Oscars, she did a tour with Tony Bennett, and now she's on American Horror Story. So, she's been doing lots of different things but I can tell you, I've heard a couple of things from her new album and it's really, really fantastic."
