Luc 4,775
Roar sold like 7M WW. I don't get your point. Roar sold 7M? sales by country?
GagaMyBlood95 9,915
Roar sold 7M? sales by country? well - huge in US, Australia, NZ, UK not so much but did just fine and is still selling....
itaita 0
Remember how this lady who gave us all this information yesterday said that public is going to forgive an artist everything/forget all the negativity when this artist comes out with an absolute smash hit. And if you think about that, it's exactly like this... That is the reason behind the possible ARTPOP 2.0 - the label is seeing what they perceive as a lack of smash hit(s) and hoping that the next batch of songs may fix that situation. GypsyGaga 0
And so much for all those green updates we were hoping to see come Monday morning. The song is on its way out along with White Walls and Unconditionally. I'm so disappointed that the boost we received from The Voice is all but gone and still no word on a video. DWUW might be the sloppiest high-profile single release I've seen in all my years of chart-tracking.
Lady 748
I honestly dont believe any song can smash at this point in terms of going #1 and slaying the world From ARTPOP def not, although I'm sure that if Gypsy is indeed going to be a single then it's going to do quite good. But I'm talking more in general, about the future, when we're done with ARTPOP. I'm sure Gaga understands and she also WANTS to come out with a super hit. That is the reason behind the possible ARTPOP 2.0 - the label is seeing what they perceive as a lack of smash hit(s) and hoping that the next batch of songs may fix that situation. Oh, that's good to hear!
Luc 4,775
You are right, but they all have different tastes in music, too. Applause is a bit specific. IMO only it doesn't have across the board appeal like, say, 'We Are The Champions', which is a good example of what you speak of. Additionally, it's only the pre-chorus hooks and and maybe the choruses themselves that work across the board. The verses are too specific and not something that most people would be into. Yeah, but that doesn't explain its underperformance WW in countries where most people don't even speak English (Europe, East-Asia compared to her other singles, Latin America). Hopefully they won't rush it. If you have contacts and can have an impact, tell them to release ARTPOP, Aura/Venus, Gypsy and GUY as singles first these songs deserve it so much. Ugh as long as Gaga doesn't go all commercial with Volume II and doesn't release it next year. I want a 2015 release with risky songs only, to make up for the 'lack of art' on ARTPOP Volume I. Bye 3,947
Lol DH shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Dope. Lyrically, vocally, and production-wise it's ahead and since those things make up a song Dope>>>>>>>>>>DH
