Can't necessarily say the same about Royals (especially), Roar, Blurred Lines, Berzerk, or Wrecking Ball. The fact that Royals is growing so much makes my stomach churn. What a ****ty, ****ty song. I mean, before the VMAs when the song was about to fall out of the top 10 and couldn't even get a light red update to save its life, I understand, but this is the first point in the song's life that it's actually got legs and is remaining relatively stable, even despite mediocre radio support. And what annoys me the most is that if she releases a second single and flops, I know some of the same people will say "Well, what do you expect when you release a second single while your current single is still top 10 in almost every major music market?". Stans have 20/20 hindsight. And it's not like releasing a second single is going to change the fact that Roar, WMU and to a lesser extent, BL are still stiff competition in most music markets. Except for the fact that her second single is going to have to start from the bottom again. So Applause's radio support is bad, what exactly makes you think the second single is gonna start getting huge updates on radio? Better she just grit her teeth and ride out the single for another few weeks IMO. Especially when she's got Applause performances still coming up. Especially when she's got Applause performances still coming up. i think they are fighting in the label on wich song comes next, the next single SHOULD come from the itunes festival performed songs, because those songs already have some steam, if you ask me about it, i think she should release the 2nd single in october and give it around 2-3 weeks and release the MV a week BEFORE THE ALBUM and if the songs is succesful by that time it should be at least around top 12 on radios, the whole album rush would help it a lot to get exposure. i think she's not pulling the plug on applause, the song has been almost uninterruptedly inside itunes top 5 for 3 weeks(side from a few days previous to the vmas) and has been relying on her name and the appealk that apparently the people have found in it, because the radio support is OBVIOUSLY not there, i'm not saying it should have entered the top 10 by now, but it should at least be close, i mean.... what the actual f Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
