Hadrian 2,541 Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:36 PM Mayhem and it's not close. why's your feed full of guys who look like me? 3
Anderson123 42,550 Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:41 PM Meh very unfair to compare these two but I obviously prefer Mayhem. Just Disease alone makes it one of Gaga’s best releases and we have several gems on that album. Confessions 2 is a great body of work and I’m enjoying it a lot this week but I know I won’t be listening to all of it in a few months. It’s a nice comeback for Madonna but doesn’t really offer anything new or unique even if she doesn’t have to do that, she’s a legend already. I love Madonna but I get tired of her voice after a while.

Bronco 24,057 Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:56 PM I'm not voting. Confessions 2 is a better "album", i have more desire to listen to it as a complete piece. Its cohesive and flows sonically and thematically from start to finish. Mayhem has better songs. Its highs beat all the Confessions tracks for me. But I don't like to listen to it as an album from start to finish, it doesn't flow well and lacks the cohesion I enjoy in an album experience. Sylvia Browne 2,711
I think a more fair comparison would be confessions vs chromatica you really can’t compare mayhem to anything because it’s so quintessentially Gaga
Elderflower 552
Oh, interesting. Two completely different albums. I think the comparison is a bit weird. For me, MAYHEM has 40 minutes of good/great music, and Confessions II has 60. Edited 23 hours ago by Elderflower
Ivy 13,707
MAYHEM Confessions 2 is good, I'm enjoying, but I'm already skipping a few parts and I crave for Gaga's voice and the way she utilize different vocal techniques for variation But they're really different albums so it's hard to compare. MAYHEM is full of life and variety to me where confessions 2 is more a chill background dance/club music Also I can get bored with cohesive albums so I think confessions will not stay fresh for me like MAYHEM the meow in zombieboy

How do you feel about I Feel So Free, Danceteria, Bizarre, School, Fragile, My Sins Are My Savior, Betrayal, and L.E.S. Girl being on the same album? Or do you want even more variety?

To your point, I feel like CONFESSIONS II manages to maintain a cohesive aesthetic and solid pacing while still maintaining a really refreshing amount of sonic variety. Such a fckn good album. Bling 31,671
As an album? With no skips? I'd say Confessions easy. Which one has better songs? MAYHEM. But as a complete body of work start to finish it's Confessions. MAYHEM always peters out midway through.

This exactly I lose interest in MAYHEM towards the middle, whereas Confessions has me locked in the whole way through.
Charliie 1,974
Hobestly it's not a fair comparison because both are different worlds. Each has its own theme, aesthetic etc. I prefer Mayhem. Confessions II is just a pretty album. It's beautifully detailed and cohesive. My only favorite song it's IFSF cause that's the only song that made me feel free It'd be fair to compare it to Traumatica Edited 22 hours ago by Charliie
Smother Em Eh 7,279
Well like others have said, they are too different to compare. Thematically, Sonically I like Confessions ll but I am going to have to go with Mayhem. But comparing Confessions ll to Chromatica would be a WAY more fair comparison! steven 6,527
I voted for Mayhem because it has higher highs, but quite frankly, Confessions II is a more cohesive album sonically.
