Based on the small sample, unsurprisingly ROTY is her best shot at a general field award. Franch Toast 27,392 Posted January 17 Share Posted January 17 I don't put much stock in these blind ballots, but I think folks should prepare themselves for Bad Bunny, Sabrina, and HUNTR/X to nab the top awards. And honestly, in this hostile climate toward immigrants and non-white people, I'm not even mad about Benito or EJAE/Audrey Nuna/Rei Ami (HUNTR/X). Also, EJAE has the kind of underdog narrative that voters love. That said, I do think MAYHEM deserves its flowers and is one of her best, if not her very best, album, and I'll still be disappointed if it doesn't at least get awarded one prize. Yes The Grammy Guru is often reliable but they have never disclosed how they even find and reach the voters. Also, the profiling matter a lot. Several of these blind ballots come from RnB voters (The Grammy Guru tends to skew to RnB and African genres). And only 23 ballots out of 15k votes is not statistically reliable. It’s offensive that Gaga has had such an impact on the music industry and they seem choose the most basic, low effort “projects” over her.
