Also, I too believe that the zeitgeist for political climate and openness of a society works similar to a pendulum but the problem with far-right extremists is that once they get hold of power, they won't give it up freely anymore. Especially with digital means of surveillance nowadays.

As a French citizen who's not of European origins, I voted for nobody, I'm apolitical, all those politicians are for most of them liars.

From the LFI to the RN, they work for lobbies not for the ppl. 

It's sad to see that many young ppl became racists, but I don't think that the RN is a dangerous party at all.

In fact the European Union give them restrictions, the RN can't do anything they want.

Also I'm desperate to see that some ppl truly voted for Bardella cause he's "charismatic", I saw some ppl saying this and woah, it's incredible to see how much ppl became dvmb.

I forget who the member was who said it on here, but they are right in that we need global revolution to fix the world. The solutions to the alt-right bigots keep failing, and bad parenting of children by alt-right parents gives said bigots a steady stream of support. We need worldwide revolution to change the planet. Bring back 1848.

Exactly right. When politics becomes a zero sum game, loses become potentially generational. Really sad.

You'd think that the "but digital" would be that we wouldn't swing right anymore and that we would continue to explore an openness. It's all just greed, and it's such a sad disease.

 The thing that worries me is that we are no longer dealing with old school conservatives who we might disagree with on some policy but nothing else. Now, we are seeing a return to a more draconian and radical form of right wing because traditional conservatism is being destroyed before our eyes and replaced with something much more dangerous

And I understand that. I have close friend swith the same mindset, and they aren't bad people, just got dealt a bad hand I feel.

But I still feel that moderation is important in this day and age.
