She has the vocal talent to do it. She would actually devour tracks like the ones you mentioned. I’m so hyped now

This would literally propel her to be one of the greatest legends of all time and be so well respected by everyone. This is what we need.

She keeps wearing that Metallica shirt but I hope she’s going more Zeppelin/Bowie/Queen IF it happens to be rock…

I'm still very skeptical I'll like anything rock but I have an open mind and will a Gaga twist on it I hope it'll be good.

I’m genuinely curious what y’all think of when you think of rock. What makes you think you wouldn’t like it and what sound comes to mind when you hear Gaga is possibly making a rock album?

I'm not entirely sure. I imagine something like turning on the kerrang channel it just doesn't do anything for me.

So, I hadn’t heard of Kerrang and I just looked up the kind of stuff that they play…even as a fan of rock music in general, I think a lot of what they play is corny as hell so I get why you wouldn’t be excited about that lmao. IMO, rock is such a broad genre and it could pull influence from so many different subgenres within rock. Like, it could sound like Blondie, it could sound like Pat Benatar, it could sound like Queen, it could sound like Bowie, it could sound like Paramore…rock doesn’t have to sound like a lot of that flaccid overproduced **** they play haha. But, ultimately, we’ll have to see

If she released like an experimental alt-y rock album that featured synths heavily I could get on board

unfortunately I think a Gaga rock album would be SUPER on the nose with lots of lyrics about like, leather jackets, whiskey, and big black boots etc and I do not want that

In a year where I’m gonna have to watch two joker movies she’s gonna need to give me dance music tysm

rly hoping she wasn’t being sarcastic 😔🙏

Based on her own work, I'd imagine she would do something like Something crazy or MANiCURE, but less pop. I'd love to hear her explore other subgenres of rock though.

Well, whatever she does, the songs are 100% going to have a typical Gaga pop format one way or another. Pretty much all her solo albums do. 100 to 135+ Bpm (beats per minute), (tho metal tends to be a lot faster), and with a verse-chorus-verse-chorus structure etc. and I’m definitely expecting a dance-esque rhythm, but with lots of distorted rock/metal guitars involved and very likely live drums and analogue synthesisers.

Remember it’s Gaga so her interpretation of “rock” will be totally unique to her. And it’s such a broad genre so she could literally do anything. And rock/metal works very well with electronic genres.

I’m expecting a marriage of grunge/old-school metal and dance pop. But then the Prince and Bowie teasers suggest it might take a funk and glam route (hence the brass involvement and piano).

I mean…mixing the sounds of Gaga with Bowie, Prince, Black Sabbath and Metallica….omfg slay!

I just hope that whatever she does it’s very stylish, tasteful and well thought through. The rock and metal world are extremely proud and critical of the genre so I don’t want them to think her attempt to work with rock music is lame or half-arsed. I hope it feels authentic and intelligent. (Either way I’m sure we will love it).

I also hope (no offence meant) that she doesn’t make this album too camp or flamboyant (“bananas”) and not just make it “for the gays”. I hope it’s a bit more mature, deep and kinda stripped back whilst still being thrilling and epic. Idk.

(Also please Gaga bring back the big soaring catchy climatic choruses! They were severely missed on Chromatica.)

I'm fine, Ta

Couldn’t agree more. I’d live for a new wave or post punk record tbh. Maybe even like a really grimey glam era

No Rock indeed, it's gonna be Cyberpunk. And her getting coffee in a cybercar is the proof.

Who else made cyberpunk, let me think?.. DAVID BOWIE!! Just in line with her looking like him in the studio recently.

'His cyberpunk albums would end up having a profound and lasting impact on rock in general, punk, new wave, electronica, and in Eno's work of ambient'

Am I into something?
