Kitsch 499 Posted December 18, 2021 Share Posted December 18, 2021 I’m a Dutchie as well. I’m glad that I left The Netherlands in August to move out to Bulgaria. At one point, it was very bad in Bulgaria and we were heading towards a lockdown, but thankfully, the numbers have been quite low again and we could’ve avoid the lockdown. I think what was effective was that the 3G mandate was implemented here earlier than in the Netherlands. Obviously, vacation rate is not amazing (about 3 million of 7 million citizens got vaccinated, with unofficially an estimate of 1.5+ million living in the capital) but I hope that we can avoid getting into a new lockdown. I’m sad to read the news for my friends and family, though. The Netherlands is one of the countries with the least booster vaccinations. They’re planning to invite vaccinated 18+ in January, for their third vaccination, even though the infection rates was at an all time high (20.000 infected people daily) for weeks. And now, they’re contemplating about taking our international QR Code away in February if we don’t get the third vaccination. Youre not wrong and its not like we've been the shining star of the pandemic I'm just so happy I don't have to endure another lockdown. I can tolerate wearing a mask, as much as I hate it, but I would go insane if bars shut down again. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. This is about to become one big mess yeah, I'm in Canada and in my province (Ontario) 3rd shots open up to 18+ on Monday. They just last week bumped this up from January and now it's a bloodbath trying to book a shot.
