Gun Laws are quite difficult for the US to change because it's entrenched within their constitution. And it's VERY difficult to remove a right from the constitution isn't it?

I wonder if they can amend it. The thing is.. even if Gun Laws are modified - these types of tragic events won't stop happening. These massacres do not happen because it's legal to own a gun. They happen because the attacker is mentally ill. They'll stop at nothing to do what their insanity tells them to do - without a single thought about the law.

That's why I'm getting a gun when I turn 21 tbh. I think we do need to do something with our gun laws, but if I'm correct the shooter at sandy hook was 20. He wasn't even legally old enough to get a gun. Banning all guns wouldn't solve anything because the real criminals will get a gun regardless. And then the only ones with them will be criminals which will end up being worse.

I can't believe guns are still legal in the US. There are other ways to defend yourself , having a gun for self defense is a huge overreaction IMO. Here in England guns are illegal and rightfully so. It's crazy how something as extreme and malicious as a gun is accepted as a normal thing in some places in the world.
