If we’re talking about album sales, it’s not their fault that k-pop albums are actually worth buying instead of the boring physical cd’s western markets are producing. K-pop albums consists of many booklets, photocards, postcards, stickers etc all wrapped in wonderful packaging.

But streaming can get a little obsessive I agree..

Definitely talking about streaming numbers.

Honestly good for them, but it feels to me they’re digging their own grave. Many fans are unstanning them because they got so big and way too mainstream, plus now with their second english single while they specifically said they will never do those… BTS got me into k-pop in 2019 but I dropped them so hard after I got to know how awful their fandom is plus there are groups out there who put out so much better music. K-pop as a whole might not be your taste and I get that but please don’t base your opinions on Dynamite & Butter :bradley: and listen to some quality k-pop like EXO or SEVENTEEN.

Who the hell is actually listening to Butter besides rabid BTS stans who are mass-streaming to artificially inflate chart numbers? :triggered:

Like congratulations, you worked the system to get that #1 - doesn't change the fact that the average music listener hasn't even heard the track once. They do it to brag about the chart "achievement" but does it really matter if no one really cares? :bear:

Maybe if y’all stopped hating on Kpop artists and used their fan’s blueprint, Stupid Love would’ve gone #1.

I mean sure, I don't disagree - but I also think having organic hits is so much more important and leads to an actual legacy, like the one Gaga legitimately has. BTS has all this supposed chart success but doesn't seem to have any casual fans outside of their stanbase - and isn't chart placement contingent on casual listeners? :reductive:
