I haven’t commented on this site for about 2-3 years  but enough is enough. I have to say out loud what really triggers me off. How can a certain someone come to Taylor Swift-oriented topics and heap nothing but vitriol and criticism upon her. It is just beyond me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but being obsessed with someone is not a good look. There’s a song by Mariah Carey entitled “Obsessed”. Perhaps this tune should become someone’s anthem. Just because Lana del Rey will never touch or come even close to Taylor’s success doesn’t necessarily mean you need to put someone down to feel better about your fave, who has recently sparked up some controversy, too. And it was not a good look on her, either. But like father, like son. You don’t need to like or listen to Taylor, but you can’t deny the indisputable fact that she’s a legend in the making and she will never be over. Just like Gaga. They’re in the leagues of their own. 
I simply ignore artists that I dislike and pay them no mind but what I really dislike about people is the fact that they can be so bitter, pretentious and hate-spewing. It’s all bad blood, no pun intended

Taylor virtually lives on the charts and her albums will invariably be huge and memorable moments in the music landscape (it’s not exclusive to pop music, she’s much more than that). I know many people who don’t listen to pop music but they enjoy Taylor’s work very much and admire her artistry. Critics have always praised her musical endeavors as well. There’s no denying the fact she’s adored by the GP and she’s one of the best selling, recognizable and respected artists of all time. Deal with that And if one can’t stand the heat, well, get out of the kitchen. 

I’m so happy for you, Taylor. You’ve done it again! So effortlessly! You won’t let your arch enemies and pathetic internet trolls breathe for a minute. You deserve every ounce of success you’ve garnished! The talent and hard work always pay off! 
Haters gonna hate but Taylor’s gonna shake it off. 
P.S. Certain someone also comes to every Nicki Minaj’s thread to hate on her for every single move she makes.  Well, in the song “Majesty” Nicki spits some wise words, namely- “Jealousy is a disease.....” you can look up the rest of the bar on the Internet. If the shoe fits, wear it.

Most of those come from America. That's where her most popular market is. That's just a fact.

I never said Lover was her last hurrah, but it was a sign of her slipping. No #1's, very low video views and likes for her standards, not as many singles as usual, no Grammys won. After 1989, she did slip a lot from success, that's a statistical fact. This may be the beginning of a proper comeback, but we'll see.

I haven't been wasting brain cells. I don't care if Taylor doesn't know who I am, that's not the point. I base my opinions on statistical evidence and my research into music/genre/chart history, as corresponds to me reviewing albums, so don't tell me that it's based on bias and misinformation. It's not derailing her threads if it's on topic either. As I said before, if you only want adoring fan opinion, go to her specialised fan thread, but in a general thread about her, expect to see different opinions and learn to respect that. A different opinion is not trolling.

Her fans just go on and on about China as if it's the only country in the world. She's been losing traction in Europe considerably after 1989. She still only has one #1 single in my country, the UK (Gaga has 6 despite being around a shorter time). The reason she hardly ever tours in Europe and just does one date per country when she does is because she has very limited demand there. Folklore failed to hit #1 in major European markets like Italy, Germany and France (a very disappointing #12) and the singles aren't smashing like they are in the States. There's similarly very little demand in Latin America, Africa and Western Asia for her. I don't know how her fans keep trying to explain away her very limited international tour dates. If there is demand in a country, an artist will be sent there. When she can multiple arena/stadium shows in these areas, then we'll talk.

I have as much right to be in these threads as you do. You can't censor someone just because you don't like their opinion. If it bothers you that much, press the ignore function. If you're still replying to me despite every one of my detractors all giving the same response, I'll conclude that you're just adding any response for attention

Well, that was unbelievably horrible. You came back after all this time to write this? I don't know whether I should feel offended or flattered. But I regret to inform you that your opinion is not original, nor will it make me change, so why bother? You had no need to bring up Lana either. Don't play the "my artist is on top so I can laugh at every other artist below them" game. That cocky attitude has been the downfall of many a popstar.

I think you should be aware at this point that I don't care what public or critic opinion of her is. The only opinion on music that matters is one's own. The irony of you writing "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen" when you and many others are trying to chase me out of Taylor threads and censor my opinion. That's taking sensitivity to a whole new level. And the fact you wrote an "essay" but got praised for it but I make an "essay" and get laughed at for it is just typical of the hypocrisy of members here.

What on earth are you bringing up Nicki for? I must warn you that a lot of GGD hates her right now for who she associates with, so I wouldn't assume that we all think the same way.
