It’s such a shame that her personality can be so... yuck. She is such a talented rapper among the greats but the things she says/does is really off putting to the gp. Doesn’t matter if your talented when your not liked... And we can clearly see from this thread she isn’t liked

 

She deserves the award, she made huge contributions to female rap and rap period, however now wasn’t the right time considering she’s literally seen as a joke nowadays. 

I miss the Pinkprint era so much... sis was in her bag and the GP loved her and the music. I would love if she just got on camera and addressed all the problematic/messy things she’s done and be upfront and move on. Also I wished she married Safaree instead of Mr. Petty but that isn’t my business

It’s frustrating to see her get ridiculed all the time but unfortunately she just makes it easy for people

Talk whatever you want but she surely had an impact in 2010s and was the most famous female rapper for most of the decade. I don’t like her but I like to be objective and some of you seriously lack that.

But Gaga was awarded in 2015 and she didn’t really do anything THAT big in 2015. I really don’t think it should matter which year it was. Nicki deserved this award because she truly was one of the if not the biggest female rapper in 2010s.

In 2015 Gaga had one of the most impressive years in pop music's history… From being one of the most hated people in the world to having career-defining moment after career-defining moment, having the balls to try completely different kinds of music while staying true to herself and to the world… She didn't have any hit that year (she didn't even put out a radio single or an album) but her WOTY award was completely deserved. Only Gaga or Taylor could have won it.

But I agree on the fact that Nicki is easily the biggest rapper of the decade, if not the century, so I'm not mad that she's winning, but I'm very surprised since her career has been a disaster since 2016 at least
