If you can't find a way to overcome the divisiveness of a Trump impeachment, in order to take a stand against blatant corruption, you're not a leader. This isn't the job for you. End your campaign. She has literally called him corrupt on her own. Soooo 🤷♂️ This scandal IS DIVISIVE and doesnt put Americans first. This is about the hyper partisanship happening, and the DNC is only looking out for themselves.

People are saying this will not lead to his impeachment so what will happen is he will go around the country touring the fact that he defeated and beat "unfair" impeachment attempts. His base back him up regardless of what he does and whenever they feel he is under attack or in danger of losing something they rally against him even more. Not to mention there are tons of democrats who have voiced their concern about this impeachment process and how it will negatively impact whoever is running against Trump in the next elections if he doesn't get impeached (which experts are saying he won't be impeached) because it will activate dormant Trump supporters / voters. This whole process will reignite support and popularity even more. I just really really think it is a bad idea. Okay, I think I get it... thank you. But... what if he actually broke the law when the inquiry is done? Is he just supposed to go unpunished? That’s so disheartening and unfair. It’s also dumb if he gets a boost if the inquiry finds nothing. Someone Trump hired started this whole drama, and the Dems just investigated... as they should. He totally deserves to get impeached for obstruction tho. Who can deny that?

Gagaloo911 12,959
As if everything isnt already divisive in American politics and we aren't already divided So ridiculous. It wouldn't be impeachment that suddenly makes us divided lmaooo How out of touch do you have to be. 36 minutes ago, dit said: She is right. Not to mention this will only promote Trump and make his base even more enthusiastic to vote for him. This move was a dumb one by the democrats... He will not be impeached and this will only benefit him and his popularity especially doing it so soon to the elections. First off, Fox and the right wing propaganda machine have been making it out that Pelosi and the House already started impeachment a long time ago. Trump supporters already believed they were doing this, and they would believe it regardless of if it had actually happened since they live in their alternative realities. Second, your argument is one entirely focused on political expediency, and is rooted in fear. Not impeaching over this would set a dangerous precedent and would tell Trump he can do whatever he wants and not ever have consequences. It would betray the US Constitution and US laws too, you do realize that right? To choose not to do so because you're worried about Trump world when they'll believe whatever they want anyway is cowardice and would compromise all of our principles including the rule of law and accountability. She has set up her platform based on the hyper partisanship happening today. So I think she knows, and has stated many times about the divided state of the nation. I dont know why you think she doesnt know that. Perhaps you havent caught up with her ? Also, I dont think she thinks impeachment is divisive, she knows people will just see it as another DNC plot to get Trump out of the office, which is incredibly divisive. It's not the act of impeachment, it's the whole process and thinking that goes behind it that reeks of divisiveness. I probably butchered explaining that but 🤷♂️🤷♂️

If the opposition doesn't stop a government involved in collusion...what does that say about the law system of the USA? MPs should be the biggest example of justice and if they don't even try to impeach Trump they'll become a joke. Also, divisiveness is not a bad thing per se. A very divided nation would give Warren and especially Bernie even more track to beat Trump. Extremes can be good sometimes

Saying that impeachment would be divisive when literally everything is divisive in American politics and seen through hyper partisanship already is pretty tone deaf and ignores the reality that it's already been divisive. It simply sounds like a talking point to disingenuously score a few political points. It furthermore excuses Trump's actions and demonstrates that she isn't interested in upholding the rule of law or the US Constitution.

The administration is calling it a transcript so that it has the air of transparency. It's not based on a transcription of a conversation. It's based on notes taken by administration officials who were in the room during the phone call. At the bottom of the released summary it says, "a number of factors can affect the accuracy of the record." Before the summary was released Republican legislators went to the White House to go over what was being released, and discuss how they were going to spin it. I assume, labeling it a "transcript" was one of the talking points arrived on. Tulsi needs to go.
