Marvel is Considering Casting POC for Professor X and Magneto in the MCU

Black Jews exist and they have even less representation. What if is he’s Ethiopian Jew, with different story, because of the new MCU timeline? 

Also another Jewish superhero will be introduced to MCU, he’s called Moon Knight.

I think it’s because now they have all the rights to introduce X Men to Marvel Universe, they can interact with Avengers and so on, like in the comics. Franchise belonged to Fox before, I believe.

but think about it, since the first X Men movies, they were looking at the race, they wanted 2 white guys and none of them was Jewish.

People complain either way. 

Marvel has introduced many new female, POC, and LGBTQ+ characters in the comics, yet they don't do well and people still complain about Marvel being too "SJW" and pushing a "liberal agenda".

I understand what you're saying, but at the time, you're going to get people complaining either way. 

I think that this movie is at least a little bit more interesting/pertinent to what the X-Men/mutants represent. I do think an argument can be made about how they're basically denying another minority group representation, but I also think making Magneto and/or Prof. X a POC would also be an interesting take.

that's wrong, if it's a canon jewish character they should get a jewish actor

the only time casters should look at the race of an actor is if it's specific to that character (asian for mulan etc.)

It isn't representation if you're picking them because of their race, the fact that "Marvel are considering casting POC" shows that they're basically using a black person to appear inclusive. Pick a good actor, not a black or white one.

Well they probably had a very specific demographic for each role but now they are opening that up to a broader demographic. Just because they are considering it doesn't mean they are going to do it - they still have to have them audition for the role.

They are introducing more characters though....

Ms. Marvel is coming to Disney+. Moon Knight's also coming to Disney+ (he's Jewish), there are rumors of an America Chavez series coming to Disney+ too. 

It's not just people of color too. Phase 4 and beyond has a ton  of female representation (Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel—she'll probably appear someone here and there even if she doesn't have her own title movie yet—, the Eternals has a ton of awesome female actresses, Shang-Chi has Awkwafina, etc.).

There are even rumors that WandaVision and Captain Marvel 2 will introduce more LGBTQ+ characters. Not to mention that Valkyrie is bisexual and that someone from the Etnerals is going to be gay.

Of course black Jews, but he is a German Jew. Let’s not act like Jews have that much representation.

 

If they changed the idenity of other marginalized groups y’all would act differently.

Like I said in my previous reply to someone else, people will complain either way. If you create a brand new, diverse character people will be like "Oh look at this SJW, liberal bullshit! Marvel needs to stop shoving these things down our throats!". But if you change characters (whether that be their race, sex, sexuality, etc.), people will be like "Why'd you have to change them?!?! They were fine before!"

It's a lose-lose situation. I mean, no one really  complained when they changed Mar-Vell to be a woman. No one complained when they changed Valkyrie's race in the movies. 

If they changed the race of any Marvel character, the X-Men would honetly make the most sense. They've been a metaphor for discrimination and segregation since the beginning, so having a POC represent that would be interesting, to say the least.
