Like some fans talk sh*t, but our good Gagz has actually a rather good ear for hits. The only label choice that worked so far was Million Reasons, but only because it was like super obvious it would do good. DWUW/Venus was a disaster. I think Judas was a great single choice if you put the religious polemic apart.
In France, where no one gives a s**t about the polemic (and don't even understand it), Judas is one of gaga's most famous song. Whenever I tell someone that I like gaga they go : oh yeah, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro and Judas !!

 

I think that Venus is a better song than DWUW but I think that Venus was too complex, and that DWUW was too catchy for it not to be used as a single. 

 

I'm convinced that Perfect Illusion, with enormous promo, would have been the biggest hit in the world. It appears really weird at first (even tough I loved it the first time) but if Gaga really pushed it, it would have been her biggest success. When i made my friends listen to the song they didn't liked it. I pushed it a lot and now they think it's the best gaga song. I think the GP just needed to be pushed.
