What I've read, she did her time and paid for her crimes. People can change a lot in 25-years. I believe that people who have done unforgivable can try to make amends. They shouldn't be placed in high power positions but they should get the chance to show the world that they have changed and do good. I myself like to believe that she has grown as a person and treats people equally. If we strive to make this world a better place we also must include those who have done horrible things but who are ready to fight the good fight. Well I have been up to date with abortion as a topic and I agree it's worrysome but the wage gap is calculated across all men and women working full time, it doesn't take into account differences in function for example.. And I fail to see how women's spot in society is still inferior to men, honestly. There is still misogyny, just like there still is racism and homophobia, you can't expect it to disappear completely. But instutional misogyny is a myth imo. She went to prison for 27 years, and I believe that delinquents can be reinserted into society after paying time in prison, so I don't think we should judge her now that she is trying to do something good for society. Shaming her for things she has done in the past it's wrong, it's an act of marginalization that could take her to make another crime. Oh yes, women's jobs for women and men's jobs for men, what a progressive way of thinking. Doesn't it remind you of the basic concept of misogyny ? It's not that they are naturally attracted to smaller jobs, it's just that higher jobs are more difficult to reach when you're a woman. It's a fact, I don't think I need to provide any proof of it, it has been long discussed for the past decades and it's still going on. You can find all kinds of statistics if you google them. The only thing I'd agree with is that things are getting better for women but we're still far from being able to talk about equality.
