Ok, the crowd was loud, but she took her earpieces out and the performance was quite choreographed so there was actually no reason to feel so lost and act so awkward. She was just lazy, that's it... androiduser 7,438 Posted January 1, 2017 Share Posted January 1, 2017 this happens to her all the time, and only to her.... every other star has an incident like this once or twice in their career, and with Mariah there's always something wrong with the earpiece, the backing track, the audio levels and what not, and it has all started happening since her vocal abilities have diminished, so strange that it hasn't happened when she was at hear peak vocally. The girl was giving great performances amidst her divorce and such, a time when it would be expected and more acceptable to drink, so why would she decline in performance all of the sudden? It literally provides evidence that her earpiece wasn't performing correctly, just refer to her interview with Ryan Seacrest. They played the Album Version of We Belong Together. The tracks didn't seem loud enough to me, nor were her vocals playing during Emotions. Her opening was indeed lipped, but she intended on singing at least Emotions live, likely We Belong Together too but they played the wrong track so we can't be sure on that one.
