Its very ramdomly spread out making mining less efficient If u want Iron, Mars or Mercury have WAY more than earth making mining more productive Natural Gas exists in 100X the amount on Earth in one if the moons in our solar system (forget which one) We also found several planets outside our solar system very high in specific elements It would be much more efficient for aliens to set up a mine in each of the areas for specific resources than on Earth where our resources are a variety but spread out spread out variety makes it good if u live here like we do. But not if your intention is to mine from another home planet Yeah there's definitely other areas where a single resource is plentiful especially on asteroids or methane gas like on Titan (Saturn's moon which i think you're talking about) but earth is teaming with organisms and minerals some of which may not even be seen in the cosmos and some of which we've yet to discover elsewhere either. We probably aren't going to be atop of the list but just by being in the goldilocks zone it makes us of interest.
