So much of the book was left out of the 1990 movie. The sad thing is horror is the most profitable genre so you have people who have no real true appreciation for the horror genre directing films just for the paycheck. I was laying in bed one night and I had her laying next to me and I accidentally whacked her with the book. True story. She still has the tiny scar on her nose I love you monsters.
