The Oscars are important in the film industry as is the Grammys to the music industry. Plus, if Gaga gets nominated for and wins an Oscar, she'll be one step closer to achieving an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony), which very few artists have achieved. And Til It Happens To You wasn't nominated at all because it was ineligible.

Maybe because i don't like the song itself, or Sam Smith's voice Spoiler don't know how to delete this ****, i clicked it by accident

I mean if they gave it to See You Again, Gaga would have more competition at the Oscars. Btw, you press 'delete' on your keyboard to delete it. That was easy I agree on that point, but suppose that (knock on wood) SYA wins the Grammy for Best Original Song. Who'd win the oscar? Sam? Charlie Puth ? Gaga?!?! Then See You Again would have a really high chance at winning the Oscar. Writing's On The Wall is not nominated at all for the Grammy though. So this year's competition is really out of tradition, cause Til It Happens To You didn't lose the Golden Globe but was not eligible. The pattern is just so irregular.
