Golden-Lady-ad-campaign-featuring-Miley-

It's never easy to guess how long one of Miley Cyrus ' bizarre fashion statements will last - but we're glad to see this one was short-lived.

The singer showed off her dyed-pink armpit hair recently on Instagram, but she's ditched it for her new bikini advert for hosiery brand Golden Lady.

The singer has stripped off to a glitzy blue bikini for the new campaign, showing off her clear-shaven underarms in the tiny two-piece.

Holding her arms up in the air, the star is smiling from ear to ear as she shows off her skinny frame.

And she took the look further a few weeks ago, sharing her colouring process on her social media page.

"#PANK #dirtyhippie," she wrote after debuting her pink armpits.

Gone for good?

I prefer any tbh. Doesn't matter if she has them or not. Slé queen of real armpit hair.

The day I care about whether or not some woman is shaving her armpits or not is a dark day indeed.

Life ain't Hollywood for any one of us.

I guess she can do whatever the hell she wants to do, but yeah I like hair-less Miley more :rip:

Also, I know the image was released recently but I don't think it was shot recently because her Blowfish tattoo (in between her moon and quote tattoos on her left upper arm) is missing.

To me she looks exhausted and dead inside. She's either drinking too much, taking d--gs or I have no idea.

I don't care. But reading this just makes me happy. Just shows how futile these attempts are, and they usually don't last that long anyway. Challenging society's norm for the sake of challenging society's norm. Brings nothing new to the table. That would be very difficult to convince anyone this amounts to anything except for those impressionable teens.

Challenging society's norm for the sake of challenging society's norm. Brings nothing new to the table.

But why shouldn't society's norms be challenged? How else would we progress to becoming equal and level when it comes to expectations based on gender (or anything else for that matter) :duck:

Challenging society's norm for the sake of challenging society's norm.

How do you know her intentions? You don't know if she was doing it just to be "rebellious" or if she actually wants to not conform, being a majorly successful pop star, in order to spread more awareness on the foolishness of restrictive gender roles. Yes, Madonna and Gaga both have done it but that isn't to say that Miley's attempt wont reach a newer, younger audience.

If Miley not shaving her armpit is a catalyst for young girls and boys to start questioning the expectations placed on them solely based on their biological s-x, then I'd say it is worth it. Even if she were only doing it for "attention" (which is unlikely, imho).

And yet another thread about a woman trying to feel comfortable in her own skin. What's there to say? Should I say "YAAASSS" or maybe insult her? What is the point of this thread, why do we support cheap and s-xist journalism?
