Britney is more of a "legend" than Elton will ever be though

No way. Elton is in the company of The Beatles, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, having sold 250-300 million records around the world. Britney is at half of that.

Elton has 27 BB Top 10s, four of which hit number two and nine number ones. (including the best selling single of all time) In his native UK, he has accumulated 71 top 40 singles, including 33 top tens and 8 number-ones. Britney has 11 BB top 10s, with four of them going to number one.

Elton has received six Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards – winning two awards for Outstanding Contribution to Music and the first Brits Icon in 2013, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award, a Disney Legend award, and the Kennedy Center Honors in 2004.

Britney has one Grammy Award (Best Dance Recording) and many Billboard, MTV awards, AMAs, People's Choice, etc.

Elton John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, is an inductee into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, and is a fellow of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. John received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for "services to music and charitable services" in 1998. Britney has a Hollywood Star.

Billboard ranked Elton the most successful male solo artist on "The Billboard Hot 100 Top All-Time Artists" (third overall). Britney isn't on the list. Billboard did name her the s-xiest woman in music in 2012.

Then there is the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which Elton started and is heavily involved in, that has raised over 200 million since its inception.

Britney is a pop culture icon, a product and star of the MTV generation. Elton John is a music legend.

I cant at her acting all superior and looking down to pop just because her last album underperformed

Like wtf Gaga :awkney:

Or maybe, just maybe, she would rather collaborate with people who she could actually learn something from.

Gurl you can clock em with facts but they have no idea that there is a difference between an icon and a legend.

:applause: The sheer ignorance in some corners of this fanbase is staggering.

Educate them.

The fact that someone actually believe Britney is a bigger legend (hell, even a legend in any sort or form) than Elton is just beyond me. Lord, some people just forget music existed before the 2000s.

It's Danja's fault, referring to her as "the legendary Ms. Britney Spears" at the end of Gimme More. I roll my eyes every time. :ohwell:

Is this post for real? Like, if you are serious you literally know NOTHING about Gaga. Like, why are you even here?  :smh:

I expect these kind of embarrassing posts from her haters, not from her supposed stans.

She didn't say it in that mean way that the title makes it out to be  She just said that as her direction has kinda changed, Elton John would fit it more than Britney Spears at the moment :laughga:

I'd love a duet with Elton John, mainly because I really enjoyed their performance of Your Song + Speechless at the Grammys all those years ago, and their performance of ARTPOP on the Thanksgiving Muppets Special

Still praying that she does do a duet with Britney one day though, that'd be a dream come true

Tbh :tea:

They obviously spend way too much time at places like ATRL and involved in the senseless battles of the fans of pop girl divas!

There is a whole big world of music out there, in the past and in the present. It just shows laziness and ignorance to focus on one tiny category out of the hundreds and hundreds that are out there!

There was someone here a couple of days ago that referred to the Hollywood Bowl as a "small theatre" :smh: and believed that jazz festivals were "small". They had no idea that millions attend these festivals all over the world every year. People should really try to expand their world outside of talking about wigs and eyebrows and focusing on what the latest pop tart is lip-syncing.
