Say something good, and something bad about every song. For me: "Aura" 8.5 Great great song, but very bad vocals compared to demo, otherwise would have been a number 1 hit. "Venus" 7.5 Good catchy song, but mediocre lyrics. Least favorite tbh, but it works as a single. "G.U.Y." 9 Super catchy, the pre-chorus and bridge always give eargasms, but other parts a little too repetitive and somewhat cheesy. "Sexxx Dreams" 9.5 Very very well produced! And great lyrics! The autotuning is a little bit annoying though. "Jewels N' Drugs" 8.5 I'm not a fan of rapping, but I like this. It's very well produced, but little too many random rappers. "MANiCURE" 9 Gaga should do more rock songs like this! Little bit flaws with producing, like the start isn't very good, and guitar solo is not as good as itunes festival. "Do What U Want" 9.5 Everything is perfect, except for R Kelly's lyrics. "ARTPOP" 8 I was a little disappointed about this at first when I heard it first in itunes festival cuz this is the friggin title track! And I'm also disappointed at the producing (you know what I'm talking about). However, the lyrics are very well written, and deep. Chorus very repetitive, but the bridge is very strong, but badly produced. I still love this song though, don't get me wrong. "Swine" 8.5 Would have been one of the best songs on this album, but very very badly produced. Too much autotuning and the "paint your face and..." part just doesn't sound very right. "Donatella" 7 The song is okay, but the lyrics kinda ruined it. Probably cuz im a guy, and I can't relate to it, but I'm sure this is not a highlight of the album. "Fashion!" 8.5 This song is underrated, mainly because it's not very catchy at first. But it gets a lot better with more listens! "Mary Jane Holland" 8 This song is a little overrated, especially how people think it should be a single... The very long bridge is so good!!! But the chorus is kinda repetitive. Not catchy on first listen, so no single! "Dope" 9.5 This song has the best lyrics out of the whole album. The metaphorical meaning of this song is very relatable, and it's very well produced. It sorta lacks a bridge though... "Gypsy" 9.9 Even though it's not my favorite song on the album, it's in my opinion the best song on the album. Simply because I cannot find any flaws from this song. Everything is a highlight! "Applause" 9.5 It's not very catchy at first, but gets stuck in your mind once you listen to it a lot. The lyrics and the instrumentals are awesome, and very well produced. The synths are a little too overwhelming that it sometimes hurts my ears, it also kinda lacks a bridge, though I can live without one. Helix 1,357 Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 Aura: 9/10 I really enjoy the new vocals in all honesty. It adds more of a rebellious atmosphere to the song for me. Venus: 8/10 I ADORE this song lyric + production wise but some parts are a lil choppy G.U.Y: 9/10 Production = perfect. Intro = Amazing. It's all around a great song lyricwise/ production wise/ etc. Sexxx Dreams: 10/10 I really enjoy the added parts in the chorus, it makes the song feel more full. The production is a big plus and the whole 80's feel is fab. Jewels & Drugs: 6/10 I like the song but it's rap and I cant really get into it MANiCURE: 8/10 I can't tell if I like the Studio or iTunesFestival one better. Either way it's great lyric wise and its a rlly fun song DWUW: 10/10 The lyrics are great, the production is super crisp, you dont have to think too hard when listening. It's an overall great song. ARTPOP: 10(0)/10 This song is like the epitome of Gaga's career to me. I've never heard anything like it production wise and with the lyrics it is just heavenly. Swine: 8/10 I expected more live instruments in this plus the squealing but even still its a really great song and the Extended Mix is perfect Donatella: 9/10 Its a fun song, it has great production, the lyrics are silly yet i still really enjoy them. It's just a good thing to listen to. Fashion!: 7/10 Great song and all but it just doesn't do much for me. THe production is nice and so are the lyrics but it leaves me wanting more Mary Jane Holland: 10/10 Gaga's vocals and Madeon's production really just leaves me happy by the end of the song. It's a perfect combination and the multiple vocal layers just amount to making the song perfect Dope: 9/10 The production is simple and neat, the lyrics are beyond amazing. It's a really great song and I can relate to it Gypsy: 9/10 Gaga's vocals are stelar in this song and the lyrics are so well done. Madeon's production is just absolutely great and like Madeon said "Its a song I could have only done with her" which I think is really true Applause: 10/10 Applause has held up well since the beginning for me. It's fresh, her vocals are great. It's really all I want from a lead single. I love the song and I always have and it's one of the highlights of the album to me. Overall: 9/10 (It was actually 8.8/10 but I rounded) It's my favorite Gaga album because it has such great highlights and I even enjoy the songs i Hate!!!
