She's the girl next door, the everyday girl, very beautiful - but not high fashion... Which is fine It's not a drag, it's not a read, she is just in another lane imo. She is too much of a conventional beauty to pull off avant garde, unconventional fashion. The only time I've ever felt Katy seemed like a 'fashion' girl is when she did her ad campaign with Moschino: But usually - to me - her fashion comes across as costume. Even during the 2010 phase where everyone was trying to dress like Gaga it never seemed like she was pulling of high fashion looks and more so just crazy costumes. This look was, once again, very 'costume'. Maybe on another girl it would have come across as more 'fashion' but Katy isn't that girl so I'm not going to expect her to be that girl. The MET gala looks that show off her beauty: Work, in my opinion, far better than when she tries to be this avant garde girl. It just doesn't suit her...
