ck105 178
Any fans of the movie "The Departed" starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Jack Nicholson? How has it held up after 10 years? I think it's a very good film from director Martin Scorsese, but I don't think it deserved Best Picture and Scorsese's Best Director win was clearly a "pity Oscar" like it was for Paul Newman for The Color of Money. It also feels like this is familiar territory for Scorsese even though he's in good form here. But the film is still quite entertaining, quotable, has vibrant performances, etc. It's probably Scorsese's best film since the year 2000.
Easy 4,997
Good movie!!! I think most people don't know that it was a remake of a Hong Kong movie "Infernal Affairs". Spoiler A proud Hong Konger. I need to see The Departed again after my 1000th listen of Million Reasons.
