<p class="app-no-display"><img src="https://gagadaily.com/uploads/stories/monthly_2018_07/lady-gaga-boys-noize-1.jpg.862979d1e55efea5d9ada26c2174325c.jpg" /></p>

<p>
	Lady Gaga has a hit song with producer Boys Noize. Speaking to <em>Boiler Room</em>, the German electronic music producer and DJ, real name Alexander Ridha, <a href="https://hook32.com/2018/lady-gaga-boys-noize-hit/" rel="external" title="Lady Gaga 'wrote a hit' with producer Boys Noize">praised</a> Gaga as one of the most down-to-earth artists he has ever worked with and revealed that they recorded a track for one of Gaga’s upcoming projects.
</p>

<p>
	"[Lady Gaga] is so cool," he said. "She is definitely one of the coolest artists I met that is ridiculously famous, but so down to the ground. She asked me, 'You know [UK techno DJ] Surgeon?' and I was like, 'Are you f—ing with me?', and she was like 'Yeah, he's my friend, he opened some of my shows.'"
</p>

<p>
	He continued: "She's down to techno and what's crazy is that she got into modular stuff too. I brought my modular system—and she spilled water on it, by the way—but it broke the ice and then we wrote a f—ing hit. But now she's into modular, she bought a system, and we used that on some of her songs."
</p>

<p>
	Lady Gaga and Boys Noize were spotted in a recording studio back in April. Gaga is currently working on a follow-up to her 2016 album <em>Joanne</em>, as well as two other projects: the soundtrack for her debut film <em>A Star Is Born</em> with Bradley Cooper, and a second jazz collection with Tony Bennet.

<p>
	Lady Gaga stopped by New York City's Grand Central Station on Friday afternoon to support her dad Joe's new restaurant, Art Bird. Sporting a t-shirt and jeans, Gaga served food and drinks to surprised customers before sitting down with her family to the chicken herself.
</p>

<p>
	"Had to stop at my dad’s new restaurant with Chef Art Smith," she told fans on Instagram. "It’s called Art Bird &amp; Whiskey Bar, if you want killer fried chicken n’ more at Grand Central Station food concourse in NYC."

<p class="app-no-display"><img src="https://gagadaily.com/uploads/stories/monthly_2018_07/michelle2.jpg.54081abe2ec3e22749ba2895826d0b7f.jpg" /></p>

<p>
	Last time we <a href="https://gagadaily.com/story/other/michelle-treacy-interview/" rel="">spoke</a> with Michelle, it seemed like she had it all—a record deal, a hot 100 single, and a new producer—this time, she's got even more up her sleeve! Most of you remember Michelle Treacy as one of the first Gaga fans to get a record deal, having sung on stage with Gaga several times during the ArtRave. She's since had radio play throughout the United States and Canada, and has toured with IHeartRadio, Sony, and other festivals across the country.
</p>

<p>
	Michelle has gone indie now on a new project, featuring a powerful pop song that epitomizes a razor sharp message of the #MeToo movement: No means no. That simple concept led her to write a song that resonated with her fans, and even got her a shout out from fellow rebel and activist Rose McGowan.
</p>

<div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo" contenteditable="false">
	<div>
		<iframe allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="270" width="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Pi6QDDnCNUo?feature=oembed"></iframe>
	</div>
</div>

<p>
	Since then, Michelle has been steadily plugging away at her new EP, and we got a chance to catch up with her right before her new single hits radio soon.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>"No Means No" is a very timely song, considering all the stuff going on with Cosby being declared guilty, the Weinstien pandora's box, Tom Brokaw, etc... We could go on and on. How did it feel being recognized by Rose McGowan for your music?</strong><br>
	It was really cool. I love Rose so much. In the movie <em>Jawbreaker</em>, which is one of my favorite movies ever, she's such a badass. I think everything she's talking about now, she's been talking about forever. She's a total fighter, I believe in everything she fights for! She put out a really inspiring book.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>So you have something in common with her now, fighting in the battle of the #MeToo movement. </strong>
</p>

<p>
	It's not the greatest thing to have in common with someone. I'd rather have a favorite color in common with her, than have to fight for something like that! With "No Means No," I don't want it to just be a song. I want to make a movement out of it, I'm trying to create a safe space, an organization within colleges and universities, for kids who are on their own for the first time. I'm reaching out to girls' organizations across the globe, to be a part of their organizations, and make a difference. It's not just a song to me; I want it to make a difference.
</p>

<div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo" contenteditable="false">
	<div>
		<iframe allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen="true" frameborder="0" height="270" width="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ie4Oe6hSq7Q?feature=oembed"></iframe>
	</div>
</div>

<p>
	<strong>Your new producer, Rune Westburg, has produced fellow Gaga contemporary Adam Lambert, Alphabeat, Daughtry, and Colbie Callait, to name just a few. What was the songwriting experience like, writing "No Means No" with him?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I walked into the studio with Rune, and we really didn't have a specific agenda of what we wanted to write about, it was one of those songs that wrote itself. It happened so fast. The phrase "no means no" is so easy, so simple. We learn it as a child, but it's funny how as we get older we forget the meaning of the word "No."
</p>

<p>
	We just think when someone says "No," they aren't really talking to us. Or they're joking. Or, "Hey, they can't be serious." Like the word, the song is simple. But there is another side of that. I wrote this for all the people, including myself, who have felt unheard, because once the word "No" is said, it shouldn't need to be said again. We are now all on notice: No means no.
</p>

<p>
	I mean, you learn that as a kid. All kids learn it.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>And it gets repeated to you as a kid, over and over and over again, which teaches you to challenge the authority that told you "no." Maybe some aspects of society need to learn that no is not always meant to be challenged, in situations between adults and especially women, it needs to be listened to.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	It's really shocking, with all these cases coming out, how much we take "No" for granted. Its a word that is so, in our eyes, overly used, that it's lost its meaning. The moment somebody says "No," no matter what it is, we need to just stop and listen. You know the "Stop, Drop, and Roll" they teach you when you're young?
</p>

<p>
	<strong>For fire safety? </strong>
</p>

<p>
	That's right. When there's fire, as soon as you hear that, you f----ing do it. You don't even think about it. And with "No," it should be the same.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Like a public service announcement?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Exactly. The meaning of the word needs to be more important. If people would just take a minute and relearn the meaning, we could all do so much better. So many of my fans have reached out and said, "This song is me." "It reminds me of this relationship I was in that I got out of." "I'm gonna leave this and I'm gonna be who I am, and that's it. No is no."
</p>

<p>
	And I've gotten replies saying, "I was sexually assaulted, and this song makes me feel like a survivor." Or "This is my survivor song." and, "Your song gave me my power back." It's been really cool to hear the response. And then to have Rose McGowan talk about it and share it, it made me realize: if this song completely flops, I won anyway, through the response it has gotten. Because that's exactly what i wanted to do—I wanted to make these survivors <em>feel</em> like survivors, and give them their power back. Getting a message from Rose made me feel like I did the right thing. Even if she was the only one to hear this in the world, and it helped her, or if a million people heard it, it doesn't matter, if it resonated with them.
</p>

<p>
	I got a fan letter once that read, "You became my reason to stay." That line has stuck with me. Ever since then I've been writing music that would help people.
</p>

<p>
	I've done it—I've written songs that have had no meaning. But the ones that help people mean the most to me. Every time I'd write a song and play it for my mom, she'd say, "Thank you for saying all the words I could never say."
</p>

<p>
	And then was when it hit me: this is what I wanna do. I want to be the ballsy one who doesn't really give a sh*t what people think. I wanna say what I wanna say. Fight for what's right.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="michelle3.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="270" data-unique="yuv1f3z4a" src="//gagadaily.com/uploads/stories/monthly_2018_07/michelle3.jpg.32bfa7f2c5ce067c6f9bfa0c7d438487.jpg" data-ratio="129.37"></p>

<p>
	<strong>Admirable spunk! Just like a chip off the ol' Gags. </strong>
</p>

<p>
	It's a pretty timely message. People are gonna take it how they wanna take it. It's been a fun anthem for me. I've been through some really awful stuff. I feel like a badass coming out with this song. I feel like a warrior.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>I love the backing vocals. And how they complement the chorus. What inspired the hook?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	We were playing the piano, and I was shouting, "No, no! No no!" And from there, we were like, "no means no." And we took it from there. "No means no means no". How f----ing cool is that? Then it just poured out. It's really just a song that says, everyone has forgotten the meaning of "No." Here it is. Plain and simple. Took us an hour to write. I sang the vocals in two takes. Backgrounds are all me and Rune doing vocal stacks. In 3 hours we made the whole thing.
</p>

<p>
	I'm indie now. Independent. Being on an indie label is liberating. I'm doing this all myself now, with great friends, and the best manager; that I've been working with since I was 16.
</p>

<p>
	I wanna be who I am. I wanna wear what I want and say what I want, and fight for what I want, and that's exactly what I'm doing now. Releasing music that I believe in, that says something. And there's more than just No Means No coming up.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>I heard you have been working on something with one of Gaga's first producers, RedOne. </strong>
</p>

<p>
	Yes, he's heard about me, and he's definitely a fan. I can't say too much right now what it is or will be.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What the concept of your new EP?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Badassery! [Laughs] This is a do-over for me. This year I got to start from scratch with my music, re-evaluate myself, my thoughts. What do I want to say. This EP is my new beginning and I can’t wait for you to hear it.
</p>

<p>
	<img alt="michelle.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="269" data-unique="r2dw11cez" src="//gagadaily.com/uploads/stories/monthly_2018_07/michelle.jpg.71c73b521af254ca5414f4db2f37e29b.jpg" data-ratio="129.4"></p>

<p>
	<strong>When will your EP be dropping?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	The EP is gonna be out really soon, it's five or six songs long. Already working on the cover art and the second single. The next song is a ballad -- so cool, so true. You guys are gonna love it. There's gonna be an Abba song on there too.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>You are really turning into a success story, as one of the first Gaga fans to really break into the industry and start living the dream. How do you do it?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	The dreams are technically within your reach, but they're really not: you really have to work for them. Like, you really gotta work for it. If you want it bad enough, you'll die trying. You'll do anything. I've been told no so many times. And a friend told me, "Even if everyone says 'no, you have no idea what you are doing', you just keep going. I'm so shocked. You just get up and go do that 15 hour photoshoot. You just know something will happen someday and you keep going. It's amazing." I don't know how to stop. I have to keep going.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>You're walking the walk! Not just talk</strong>—<strong>you're action.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	You know that saying, "Fake it 'till you make it"? People think that's the ego part of it, but the real part is: "I have no idea what I'm doing, but I keep going."
</p>

<p>
	I want to show people who haven't found their purpose yet, or who have lost their passion or way, that I feel ****ed up sometimes, and I wanna stop, but there's a big fat bug inside of me that will not allow me to stop because I live it and breathe it. I do it, I keep going, and I'm positive. Even when I don't want to be and when everything falls apart—something better's gonna fall together.
</p>

<p>
	The universe only gives us what we can handle. Work harder and get better! If no one else believes in you, you have to believe in yourself 100% harder.
</p>

<p>
	Our dreams are gonna happen. Why not ? Look at all the people who have, all the sucessful people. They did it! Why couldn't I? That's what you have to say.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>That is, indeed. Thank you so much, Michelle.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Thank you. I'm so grateful for all my fans on Gaga Daily, I love you guys!
</p>

<p>
	<strong>And we love you, too! </strong>

<p>
	Fans at Tony Bennett's concert at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Virginia were in for a surprise when Bennett's longtime friend and collaborator Lady Gaga appeared on stage to join the 91-year-old jazz legend for a few of their favorite jazz standards. Wearing a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown, Gaga performed such classics as "Cheek to Cheek" and "The Lady Is A Tramp" to a standing ovation from the crowd. Watch below!
</p>

<p>
	Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett released their collaboration album, Cheek to Cheek, back in September 2014. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and went on to win a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The two are rumored to be working on another joint album and were spotted together at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City earlier this year. "There'll be just wonderful songs that she and I both like," Tony said. "The first one went way over a million, and it's still selling."

<p>
	Lady Gaga's long list of talents includes singing, songwriting, acting, producing, directing, roof jumping, farming, professional Starbucks drinking, and being Italian. Now, she can expand it even further by proudly adding "conducting an orchestra."
</p>

<p>
	While working on new music for one her upcoming projects with producer and composer Mark Nilan Jr., Gaga not only sang with an orchestra, but also conducted it all by herself.
</p>

<p>
	"We had the orchestra coming in," Mark wrote in an Instagram post. "Music prepared. Then decided to add orchestra to one more song, with one hour before the start time. We wrote this orchestra arrangement in an hour. With pencil and paper. I literally wore through four pencils. Have yet to come across anyone that can pull that off these days... And it sounds <em>epic</em>. Wait til' you hear it."

<p>
	The wait is over! Warner Bros. have released the first official trailer for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s upcoming movie <em>A Star Is Born</em>.
</p>

<p>
	The movie, which marks Cooper's directorial and Gaga's big screen debut, is based on William Wellman's 1937 film of the same name starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. In the updated version, Gaga plays an aspiring singer Ally, who is finding success with the help of Cooper's character Jackson Maine.
</p>

<p>
	"Gaga's a revelation in this movie," Cooper told the press at CinemaCon last month. "When I approached her for it, she said, 'Well, we're going to sing live.' And I was like, 'Well, you’ll sing live because I don’t sing.' And she said, 'No, no. What I can't stand in the movies is when you see that it's playback and they’re lip-syncing to it. No, we’re going to sing live.' And deep down, I sort of knew we were going to have to do that, and luckily, I had time and I had wonderful support."

<p>
	In addition to starring in <em>A Star Is Born</em>, Lady Gaga also wrote and performed original music for the film’s soundtrack. One of the songs was co-written with the legendary Diane Warren, who is responsible for such classics as responsible for such iconic hits as Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me," Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart," Cher's "If I Could Turn Back Time," as well as Gaga’s own “Til It Happens To You.”
</p>

<p>
	<em>A Star Is Born</em> is due out in theatres on October 5th, 2018.

<p>
	Diane Warren and Lady Gaga have written a new song together! Speaking to <em><a href="http://www.musicweek.com/publishing/read/that-s-not-the-way-i-want-to-write-songs-diane-warren-on-the-co-writing-revolution/072676" rel="external nofollow">MusicWeek</a></em>, the legendary songwriter revealed that the two penned a second track, following the critically-acclaimed "Til It Happens to You."
</p>

<p>
	"I'm not against co-writing with an artist," Warren, who is known for writing songs entirely on her own, said. "I wrote something with Lady Gaga that’s coming this year. So, every now and then, I’ll write with somebody. But I won’t get in those rooms. I won't go to a writing camp and sit with five people on a track."
</p>

</p>

<p>
	We can exclusively confirm that the track will be featured on the soundtrack for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's highly-anticipated remake of <em>A Star Is Born</em>.
</p>

<p>
	Gaga and Warren first collaborated in 2015 on "Til It Happens to You," a powerful song about sexual assault on college campuses across the United States. The song received universal critical acclaim and won an Emmy Award for Best Original Music and Lyrics. The track also earned an Oscar nomination, but lost to Sam Smith's James Bond theme song.
</p>

<p>
	Diane Warren has one of the longest and most successful careers in pop songwriting. She's responsible for such iconic hits as Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing," Celine Dion's "Because You Loved Me," Toni Braxton's "Un-break My Heart," Cher's "If I Could Turn Back Time," Ace of Base's "Don't Turn Around," Christina Aguilera's "I Turn to You," LeAnn Rimes's "Can't Fight the Moonlight" and many more.
</p>

<p>
	<em>Correction: An earlier version of the article stated that the song is called "I Will Never Love Again," which was confirmed false by Diane Warren. "I Will Never Love Again" is a different song from the upcoming movie.</em>

	Lady Gaga has cancelled the remaining ten shows of her Joanne World Tour after falling ill. The "Million Reasons" singer announced the sad news via social media on Saturday morning, explaining that she's suffering from severe pain that has materially impacted her ability to perform live.

<p>
	"I'm so devastated I don't know how to describe it," Gaga told fans. "All I know is that if I don't do this I am not standing by the words or meaning of my music. My medical team is supporting the decision for me to recover at home. We're cancelling the last 10 shows of my Joanne World Tour. I love the show more than anything and I love you but this is beyond my control."
</p>

<p>
	She continued: "London, Manchester, Zurich, Koln, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin. And Rio. I promise I will be back in your city, but for now, I need to put myself and my well-being first. I love you, forever."

<p>
	Lady Gaga looked absolutely stunning as she arrived at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday sporting a gorgeous black Armani gown. Fans were quick to notice that the Joanne singer, who is up for two awards at this year's show, wore a white roses on her dress to show her solidarity with the "Time's Up movement."
</p>

<p>
	Gaga will take the stage tonight to perform "Joanne," the final single from the album of the same name. "I have carried a deep grief in my heart over my family’s tragedy,” she wrote on Instagram, referring to her late aunt who died of lupus complications at 19. "The loss of Joanne affected my father so deeply that it affected me. When he cried, I cried. When he was angry, I was angry. When he was hurt, I hurt. Today I transform this grief to hope and healing. After 10 years with you I still get nervous before the Grammys, but I know I have an angel with me."

<p>
	Lady Gaga is giving a beautiful closure to the <em>Joanne </em>era with a surprise release of a third and final single from the platinum-selling album. The singer set her fans ablaze with excitement when she released a stunning new version of the album's title track just days ahead of her performance at the 60th GRAMMY Awards in New York City.
</p>

<p>
	The song, re-titled as "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)," was recorded in one take with keyboardist and producer Mark Nilan Jr. ("The Cure") while on the road for the Joanne World Tour last year.
</p>

<p>
	The track and the album were named after Gaga's late aunt Joanne Germanotta who died at the age of 19 due to complications from lupus. "The Lupus Research Alliance is receiving a donation in honor of Joanne Stefani Germanotta," Gaga told fans on Twitter. "Please consider a donation to this tremendous organization."
</p>

<p>
	Gaga will perform "Joanne" during the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in New York City this Sunday. She is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance for "Million Reasons."

No word yet on whether the Mark Ronson-co-penned ballad is the final single from the album, but Gaga will perform the track at the 60th Grammy Awards this Sunday, where she is up for two awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance for "Million Reasons."

<p>

<p>
	Lady Gaga has brought her massively successful Joanne World Tour to Italy! The "Million Reasons" superstar performed at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan on Thursday night for a sold-out crowd of over 10,000 fans. Among the audience was Gaga's friend and collaborator, designer Donatella Versace, who most recently dressed the singer for her Super Bowl Halftime show performance.
</p>

<p>
	As a tribute to Donatella, Gaga sang an acapella version of the <em>ARTPOP</em> track named after her, and dedicated the closing performance of "Million Reasons" to the iconic designer. During the performance, Gaga switched her regular Swarovski crystal-embellished robe coat for a brand new custom Versace outfit.
</p>

<p>
	"My friend Donatella always tells me never to give up," Gaga told fans." And I have to say, I don't have many friends in this industry and you are one and I'm so lucky I have someone to look up to."
