Surprise! With just one week until the release of A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have dropped "Shallow," the first single from the movie's soundtrack. Written by Lady Gaga and her Joanne collaborator Mark Ronson, the power ballad is the first song Gaga's Ally and Cooper's Jack sing together in the film.

"We were writing 'Shallow' from the point of view of Ally, it becomes part of the reason they fall in love," Gaga said. "When I was writing music for the film I had to think about Ally as if she wasn't me. I went with a sound for her, even in the pop realm, that's unlike anything I've ever put out before."

A Star Is Born hits theaters on October 5th.

Back in 2015, Lady Gaga covered Chic's 1978 hit song "I Want Your Love," which was featured in a Tom Ford commercial and became an instant fan-favorite. Three years later, it is finally released officially with re-recorded vocals, re-worked production, and new verses, as part of Chic's appropriately-titled new album "It's About Time."

"She's the greatest, I love her," Nile Rodgers of Chic said of working with Gaga. "How can you not love someone who sings her ass off, comes to the studio looking like a million dollars but will stay there all night if you want. And just let you change a song, rewrite it and let you do all sorts of stuff, and she's cool with it. She'll experiment, she's a real musician – she’s what every composer and producer wants to work with."

Lady Gaga stopped by the Ellen show on Thursday to talk about her upcoming movie A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper, and more. This was Gaga's first appearance on the popular show since the ARTPOP promo campaign five years ago.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper continue the promotional tour for their highly-anticipated movie A Star Is Born. The duo are currently in London ahead of the UK premiere of the film on Thursday, September 27th. They will then appear on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, September 28th.

Gaga will be back in the United States for the release week and make an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert on October 4th. The following morning, she and her co-stars will talk about the movie on Good Morning America.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's new movie A Star Is Born has premiered in Los Angeles. Gaga looked absolutely magnificent in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture silver gown and Bulgari jewelry as she posed for pictures and signed autographs at the event's red carpet.

Earlier today, she took to her Instagram account to share a snippet of a new song called "Is That Alright?," which is featured in the closing credits of the movie.  "I want you to look right in my eyes, to tell me you love me, to be by my side," Gaga sings. Lady Gaga took to her social media accounts on Monday to share a snippet of "Is That Alright?" from her upcoming movie A Star Is Born with Bradley Cooper. Co-written with Mark Nilan Jr., Nick Monson, DJ White Shadow, Lukas Nelson, and Aaron Raitiere, the soaring track is featured in the closing credits of the movie, out on October 5th.

"I want you to look right in my eyes, to tell me you love me, to be by my side," Gaga sings. "I want you at the end of my life. I want to see your face, when I fall with grace at the moment I die. Is that alright?"

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper appear on the cover of Vanity Fair Italy ahead of the release of their critically acclaimed movie A Star Is Born. The film, which is a remake of the 1937 musical drama, marks Gaga's first leading role and Cooper's directorial debut.

"To be the lead actress in Bradley's first film is an absolute privilege," Gaga said of working on the film. "He told me 'All you have to do is trust me,' and I did. I took off all my make-up, I dyed my hair back my natural color. I lived that way for months before we shot. We did workshops together and prepared our characters. We've developed a real and true friendship, and I think it's carried us through this whole process."

A Star Is Born hits theaters on October 11th in Italy.

Lady Gaga got emotional after she received a standing ovation from her A Star Is Born co-stars and the audience at the film's premiere at the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.

"I am so humbled and so grateful to be here this evening," Gaga told the crowd. "This movie has completely changed my life because of these incredible, loving, kind people that I'm on stage with. I love my cast so much, and to say that Bradley is a consummate professional and incredible filmmaker would be an understatement. I felt privileged every single day that I was on set to watch him work with a ninja-like precision, with such a vision, such a passion, and then also liberation. I really believe that we all fell in love like a family on the set. And I hope that you feel the love from us tonight."

On working with Bradley Cooper:
He sings from his gut, from the nectar! I knew instantly: This guy could play a rock star. And I don't think there are a lot of people in Hollywood who can. That was the moment I knew this film could be something truly special.

On her first Las Vegas residency:
I've always hated the stigma around Las Vegas—that it’s where you go when you're on the last leg of your career. Being a Las Vegas girl is an absolute dream for me. It's really what I've always wanted to do. We're plowing away, making something brand-new, but still with the iconography that we've already created—and making sure fans leave with the feeling that they went home for a bit with their community.

On dealing with fibromyalgia:
I get so irritated with people who don’t believe fibromyalgia is real. For me, and I think for many others, it's really a cyclone of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and panic disorder, all of which sends the nervous system into overdrive, and then you have nerve pain as a result. People need to be more compassionate. Chronic pain is no joke. And it's every day waking up not knowing how you're going to feel.

"We had instant chemistry when I met him," Gaga said of working with Cooper. "Soon as I opened the door to my house and saw him, it was like "You hungry?" We're both Italian, and before I knew it I was heating up some leftovers for him and we were eating together. He began to sing and I stopped dead in my tracks, and I said, 'Oh my Gosh, Bradley, your voice, you can sing.'"

Lady Gaga looked gorgeous as she walked the red carpet of the North American premiere of A Star Is Born at the Toronto International Film festival on Sunday afternoon. Wearing an Armani Privé black velvet gown with Swarovski-embellished sleeves, the actress signed autographs for fans and posed for pictures with her co-star Bradley Cooper.

On working with Bradley:
I think Bradley is an incredible filmmaker. I have acted before, but I've never been the lead actress of a feature film. Every day on set was such a thrill to watch him work. You can see the gears turning while he's working even when he’s in character.

On her gay fan base:
I make a joke sometimes, behind every female icon is a gay man. I really wouldn’t be here without the gay community, what they have taught me about love and acceptance and bravery. They have wrapped their arms lovingly around me. It's something I'm very grateful for and I'm very grateful that Bradley honored it in the film.

On her stripped-down image in the film:
I do love makeup. And I love fashion, and costumes, and drag, and I do a lot of it myself. But I think it was the friendship where I really trusted Bradley in exposing myself in a way that I've never exposed myself before. He wanted no make-up on my face. I dyed my hair my natural color. It was a challenge, but it was also very liberating.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's already acclaimed movie A Star Is Born made its second festival debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, and, much like in Venice, was met with universal acclaim from critics.

"A Star is Born moved me, emotionally, like no other film I’ve ever seen. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, A Star Is Born holds a 93% approval rating. On Metacritic, the movie has an average score of 89 out of 100, indicating "universal acclaim."

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are the cover stars of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands tomorrow. The cover is one of the first promo spots for the duo's highly-anticipated movie A Star Is Born.

A Star Is Born is due out in theatres on October 5th, 2018. The movie, which marks Cooper's directorial and Gaga's big screen debut, is based on William Wellman's 1937 film of the same name starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. In the updated version, Gaga plays an aspiring singer Ally, who is finding success with the help of Cooper's character Jackson Maine.

Lady Gaga is VOGUE's next cover girl. We're hearing that the pop superstar will grace the October issue of the American edition of the iconic magazine and the photoshoot has been done by her friends and long-time collaborators Inez & Vinoodh. The cover will be revealed in early September, and will hit newsstands just weeks before the premiere of A Star Is Born, which marks Gaga's first major film role.

A never-before-seen video of Lady Gaga's performance of the Billy Strayhorn classic "Lush Life" has surfaced online and it's absolutely stunning. The performance was professionally recorded during Gaga and Tony Bennett's concert at the Grand Place of Brussels, Belgium, held to promote their joint album Cheek to Cheek back in 2014. It is rumored that the footage was originally planned to be a part of a documentary film about the album, but the project was later scrapped.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born will premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The festival will screen the highly-anticipated remake of the 1937 film on Friday, August 31 ahead of its global release in October.

The decision was made after the first screening of the film, which took place at the Dolby Screening Room at Hollywood and Vine this week, was met with overwhelmingly positive response from the audience.

"Reaction from top exhibs was through the roof," Deadline reports. "One major theater owner predicted Oscar nominations across the board including Picture, Director, Actor and Actress, and big box office. Another from a large chain said the film was 'fantastic' and noted the sound in the concert scenes made you feel as if you were actually there live."
