Congratulations to Lady Gaga whose new single "The Cure" has reached No. 10 on the latest issue of the Australian singles chart. According to the ARIA, the DJ White Shadow-co-penned track rises 17-10 in its second week on the chart. This is Gaga's first top ten hit in the country since 2011, when "The Edge of Glory" peaked at No. 2.

"I love you guys so much," Gaga told fans when she debuted the track live at Coachella earlier this month. "I have been through so much in my life and I've seen so much. And you cure me every time with your love."

The 88th Academy Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles. During the show, Lady Gaga performed a powerful rendition of "Til It Happens to You" to a standing ovation.

Lady Gaga's latest single "Til It Happens to You" has been so well-received following her performance at Sunday's Academy Awards that Interscope is immediately releasing the song for pop and Hot AC airplay, AllAccess reports.

In a letter addressed to "Friends and Radio Programmers all over the country," Gaga wrote: "I have been lucky enough to put out records with all of you for almost a decade.  I have in that time never witnessed a public reaction like the one I am seeing today after my performance at the Oscars. I pray you will all today put your faith in a song that can set an example to be brave and courageous, through life's obstacles. Through the power of radio, I hope we can remind listeners that they are not alone."

Lady Gaga stole the show at the 2016 Oscars when she sang "Til It Happens to You" to a standing ovation. The poignant performance was introduced by Vice President Joe Biden, and she was joined onstage by a group of sexual assault survivors as she played the white piano along with a string orchestra.

"The first day of rehearsal with all the survivors I could barely get myself together," Gaga said of working with the survivors. "My body was wrecked with inflammation and pain, crying and shaking the whole walk to the stage. I told them I was so sorry I couldn't be Lady Gaga for them, that I couldn't even get dressed. I could barely get through the song, couldn't hit any of the high notes. Hair wet, sloppy tee shirt jeans uggs, tissues. They all hugged me and told me that it was okay because it was more real this way, that they understood that they were in pain too. They told me they were there for me to support me because they believed this message needed to be heard. Without them I never could have felt strong. They accepted me for me, at my lowest and that was good enough for them, so somehow through the magic of their courage they made it good enough for me too."

Lady Gaga was among the hundreds of people taking a dip into frigid Lake Michigan waters as part of the annual Chicago Polar Plunge on Sunday. Gaga and her fiancé took the plunge for a second year in a row to help raise money and increase public awareness for local Special Olympics.

"You can't have empathy without pain," Gaga told fans after the event. "Get freezing cold so they can feel your warmth."

Last year, the event raised over $1.2 million, which went to support athletes competing in Chicago's Special Olympics.

Lady Gaga has partnered with Starbucks to create a set of colorful drinks that will raise money to "build a kinder, braver world." Starting June 13th, Starbucks will donate 25 cents to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation as part of the campaign, named "Cups of Kindness."

The special drinks include two of Starbucks' famous pink drinks and two new beverages. One of them is a blackberry-flavored violet drink and matcha lemonade, a combination of matcha tea with traditional lemonade that Gaga says she "instantly fell in love with."

"We're healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion, and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect," Lady Gaga said in a statement. "Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection."

The Born This Way Foundation was founded in 2012 by Lady Gaga and her mother Cynthia Germanotta and is aimed at creating "a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated."

Lady Gaga might be keeping details about her upcoming album under wraps, but she is never one to miss an opportunity to tease her fans. Gaga sent Little Monsters into a meltdown when she took to her Twitter account on Sunday to post a cryptic tweet about the yet-untitled project.

Responding to a user who tweeted "When is Gaga going to release new music? That's what I'm waiting on these days," Mother Monster had this to say:

Earlier this year, Gaga confirmed that the album is scheduled for a 2016 release. "I am putting out an album this year," she said at the Golden Globes press conference. "I won't tell you when, but it is coming out this year."

Lady Gaga has teamed up with Staples to support education and create a positive classroom experience through its Staples for Students program. As part of the partnership, Staples will donate $1 million to Gaga's Born This Way Foundation. Lady Gaga, a longtime advocate for LGBT rights, says Pride weekend is a time to shine a light on equality.

"This weekend is a time for us all to reflect on the importance of tolerance and the importance of bravery and kindness, the importance of us supporting one another," the superstar told The Associated Press. "It's a beautiful pride that we all should be in awe of."

Gaga added that she's touched to witness the "beautiful pride that I see so many friends and the LGBTQ community have."

The Pride parade in New York City, Gaga's hometown, kicks off Sunday. The Manhattan parade starts on Fifth Avenue and ends in the West Village.

Lady Gaga is known for hyping up her Little Monsters quite a long time in advance before the release of her albums, but this time she is keeping all the details about her upcoming project under wraps. Speaking to Carson Daly on Amp Radio on Monday morning, Gaga said she wouldn't give out any details about the project but promised it will be worth the wait.

Carson told Gaga: "Little Monster on twitter have pitchforks in front of my fans. You need to give me something! I know you've been cryptic with your 'tick tick tok' stuff," to which she replied: "They think everything is cryptic!"

She continued: "I'm actually working every day on my record and I will be done with it at some point. I feel like this is my time for me to spend with my music and I have for years had to do some many other things and keep up with so much to please people around me. And this is the first time I really get to spend with my work. I promise you that it will be worth the wait."

Gaga added that she had been writing new music since her last solo tour ended in 2014. 

"I've been writing since the day the artRAVE ended. I write every single day, but I write my own music. I don't wake up and someone sends me the list of the song I'm gonna go into the studio and record. I have to make it. You gotta give me some time!"

Lady Gaga's upcoming Joanne World Tour is just over a month away, but some lucky fans will get the chance to see the Joanne superstar live even earlier as she's bringing her Dive Bar tour back for a special performance in Las Vegas! Lady Gaga continues to send support to fellow pop star and new friend Kesha who is in the middle of a legal battle against record producer Dr. Luke. Speaking to Carson Daly, Gaga revealed that she speaks with Kesha every day and feels that it's her responsibility to defend her.

"I feel like Kesha's being very publicly shamed for something that happens in the music industry all the time to women and men," Gaga said. "I just wanted to stand by her side because I can't watch another woman that went through what I've been through suffer and have everyone have a go at her as if she's lying. I talk to her every day, I'm friends with her personally and what I'm watching her go through is not only something that I've been through, but something that's really devastating to witness. Somebody that has such a beautiful light within them, so much talent to give, to see that light burn out because they feel that no one's listening to them... I feel that it's my responsibility to stand up for her."

"We're gonna shake the tree until that leaf that has Kesha on it falls right off," she continued. "We're not saying here that everyone has to act like [Dr. Luke] is the worst person that's ever existed. We're not asking the company to admit something. We're just asking them to do the right thing. This is almost a 30-year old woman who is a musician and an incredible talent. In any other business, if you were to report that anything happened to you to the human resources department, it would be dealt with. But we don't have a human resources department, we don't have a union as artists. If we don't stick together, our voices won't be heard."

Last month, a Manhattan Supreme Court judge refused to grant Kesha a preliminary injunction temporarily releasing her from her contract with Sony. The pop star is obliged to make six more albums with Kemosabe Records, a label run by Dr. Luke and owned by Sony. 

Lady Gaga says she might release some more new music later this summer! Speaking to E! Online, Gaga revealed that she's working on putting out new songs and fans might hear them during the newly-announced Dive Bar performance in Las Vegas.

"You just might get some more music," she teased. "I love making music. I don't know exactly when. I'm sort of feeling like I'm making songs and doing all sorts of things with music, but I don't know exactly when or how I will release them. I'm working on that."

"I gotta fix some things in the world before I bring my baby girl here," Gaga said. "I just want to make sure I do everything I can before I have a child to know that I've tried to put as many good things into the world as possible so she can be proud of me, or that my son can be proud of me."

Gaga also said that she couldn't wait to do more acting, but she has to finish her new album first.

"If I don't make another album or don't finish the one I've been making, I think my fans are going to wait outside my house with pitchforks," she joked. "I love making music and I just needed some to really reflect on what it is that I wanted to say, and now I know what that is. You're just gonna have to wait and see!"

Lady Gaga, a long-time vocal advocate for LGBT rights, has spoken out against Donald Trump's ban on transgender people serving in the military. Gaga accused the U.S. president of "endangering lives" in a series of tweets on Wednesday afternoon.

"The message you have just sent has endangered the lives of people all over the United States and overseas bravely serving our nation," Gaga tweeted at the president. "Research says at least half of High School, University Students, & Employed Young People rarely or never discuss mental issues with anyone."

She continued: "Many of these young people are transgender and suffer daily from the exact types of social isolation and targeting your message encourages. Sincerely, did you know of the group you singled out today, 45% of them ages 18 to 24, have attempted suicide already? Within the Trans Community are many also who are strong and brave. They should be able to serve if they wish. To have honor if they do."

Lady Gaga was a vocal supporter of Donald Trump's rival Hillary Clinton during the election. "Our Republican candidate has done a good job of dividing the country in order to promote his campaign," she said. Students at Connecticut's Suffield High School are trying to help their classmate, who is one of Lady Gaga’s biggest fans, meet her idol.

Katie Dorman is a 17-year-old sophomore with down syndrome. The girl is part of the school's unified theater program that helps break the barriers for young people with disabilities by putting them on stage. And when Katie takes the stage in a blonde wig, she becomes "Katie Gaga."

Lady Gaga is coming to the Oakdale Theater with Tony Bennett later this month and the students are trying to get her attention with a Twitter campaign, which they hope will help Katie meet the superstar.

"Anybody that's around Katie often knows that she adores Lady Gaga so when we were really looking to spotlight Katie's abilities," said Erin Larkum, a unified theater co-advisor. "We know that she loves to dance and she's super enthusiastic about Lady Gaga, so that was a no brainer."

"Katie, we all know, loves Lady Gaga. And so we were like, 'You know what would be super cool? If we got her to meet Lady Gaga!' Because it wouldn’t just make her day, it would make her life!," a student, Spencer Lambert, added.
