Mark Ronson says Lady Gaga's new album is going to be her most authentic yet. In a recent interview, the British producer, who began working with Gaga on her highly-anticipated album in November, praised Mother Monster for her talent and explained the direction they are taking with LG5.

"I've been working for the past few months with Lady Gaga on her upcoming record and I'm just blown away by her talent, her voice," Ronson told Charlie Rose. "She's a Muso at heart. She's the happiest when she's sitting at a piano barking orders at the drummer, and I don't think that's the side of her the world has seen. They've seen the massive pop singles, tours, and dance numbers, so it's really great to make this very honest, authentic, analog kind of record with her."

Earlier this year, Ronson confirmed that he is working on material for Gaga's fifth, yet-untitled album, due out in 2016. Mark is known for his work with Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, Adele, Lily Allen, Paul McCartney and many others. He also produced several tracks on Amy Winehouse's hit album Back to Black, including "Rehab," for which he won a Grammy for "Record of the Year." Ronson scored his first number one single last year, when his track "Uptown Funk" featuring Bruno Mars was released to widespread critical and commercial success.

Lady Gaga might star in Bradley Cooper's directorial debut, a remake of 1937 film A Star Is Born. The Golden Globe-winning actress is in talks for the female lead opposite Cooper, a new report reveals. According to Deadline, the stars "tested and the studio loved the results." Negotiations are expected to happen shortly with production of the movie set for early 2017.

Warner Bros. has been working on the project for over five years. Clint Eastwood was originally set to direct the movie with singer Beyoncé headlinging it, but they both dropped out of the project. Due to that, the project was stalled until Cooper picked it up. Rumors that Gaga would be replacing Beyoncé as the female lead surfaced last month when the singer was caught by paparazzi on a motorcycle ride to a restaurant with Bradley.

Lady Gaga is among the 180 artists who have joined a petition calling for a digital copyright reform. Gaga, Taylor Swift, Sir Paul McCartney, Carole King, U2 and dozens of other big names signed an open letter to Congress asking lawmakers to rewrite the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that is used by websites such as YouTube "to grow and generate huge profits while songwriters' and artists' earnings continue to diminish."

The petition is aimed at the law's loophole that safeguards services like YouTube against copyright infringement litigation so long as they respond to takedown notices from rightsholders and remove the material in question. Since YouTube is such a massive platform, many uploads go unnoticed and it's extremely difficult for owners to police their content, the petition claims.

"The existing laws threaten the continued viability of songwriters and recording artists to survive from the creation of music. Aspiring creators shouldn't have to decide between making music and making a living," the open letter reads.

Lady Gaga has joined nearly 200 entertainers and musicians in signing Billboard magazine's open letter asking Congress for a gun reform. In the letter, dozens of celebrities are calling on Congress to block suspected terrorists from buying guns and require background checks for every gun sale. According to Billboard, Gaga was one of the first to sign the petition.

"Music always has been celebrated communally, on dancefloors and at concert halls," the letter reads. "But this life-affirming ritual, like so many other daily experiences — going to school or church or work — now is threatened, because of gun violence in this country. The one thing that connects the recent tragedies in Orlando is that it is far too easy for dangerous people to get their hands on guns."

The open letter appears in the latest issue of Billboard.

Lady Gaga and Lenny Kravitz are set to headline a concert in Camden, NJ on Thursday, July 28th, as part of the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The event, titled Camden Rising, is set occur just before Secretary Hillary Clinton accepts the Democratic nomination for the presidential election in nearby Philadelphia.

"With the Philadelphia skyline in the background, it is a perfect time to shine a light on Camden’s history and promise," said George Norcross, a member of the Democratic National Committee who is co-hosting the event. "We are happy to be able to invite the staff and volunteers of the Democratic Convention to what we expect to be on of the largest, most exciting events of the convention. The concert will not only be an excellent opportunity for everyone who has helped make the convention a success to relax and celebrate, but it will be a great chance to show the country Camden's amazing turnaround."

The concert is being produced by Live Nation and will take place at the BB&T Pavilion. No word yet on what songs Gaga will be performing.

Little Monsters and jazz lovers will have to wait a little bit longer for Cheek 3 Cheek.

Although Tony Bennett announced that the follow-up to his 2014 album with Lady Gaga would be released this year, fans speculated that the record might be pushed back to let Gaga focus on her solo project, as well as her role on the new season of American Horror Story.

Today, the jazz legend, who is celebrating his 90th birthday, confirmed the rumors, telling Billboard: "She's busy right now, but at the beginning of next year we'll start doing an album. There'll be just wonderful songs that she and I both like. The first one went way over a million, and it's still selling."

Cheek To Cheek has indeed been a massive success for the duo, selling over one million copies, spawning a sold-out world tour, and earning a Grammy award and an Emmy nomination. And while they are unlikely to start working on the next album until 2017, Tony and Gaga are still frequently seen together both on and off stage. This morning, Mother Monster was spotted heading to Mr. Bennett's apartment with flowers in her hand, and later posted a Snapchat video with the birthday boy. In December, the two will share the stage during a two-hour special on NBC.

Lady Gaga has a very personal song on her upcoming album. Not only did Gaga shock Little Monsters when she announced that her new single "Perfect Illusion" is coming next month, she also performed a couple of tracks from her new album at a private event for iHeartRadio. And, according to radio host Elvis Duran, one of the songs Gaga played is about something that is very special to the Germanotta family.

"Gaga did a couple of her new singles which I hear are just incredible," Elvis recalled. "She also did a song about someone very close to their family. I believe it's her father's sister passing away, and her father was in the audience when she did the song. He'd never heard her perform it. She was so real and fantastic when she sang that song. And I'm assuming knowing that her dad was right there in the room with her hearing it for the first time, it really, really brought out an award-winning performance. The whole room was in tears."

Fans have raised speculation that the track could actually be "Paradise," an unreleased song written for Gaga's jazz album with Tony Bennett. Mother Monster briefly talked about the tune in an exclusive interview with Gaga Daily back in 2014, saying: "It's inspired by my father's sister and him, and the phrases as they are traded, are meant to be their words to each other right before she died."

Lady Gaga has a tradition of getting a tattoo for each one of her albums and LG5 will be no exception. Speaking to Heat Radio UK's Sarah Powell, Gaga revealed that she is about to get a tattoo celebrating her brand new record, due out later this year. 

"I'm about to get [a tattoo]," she said. "It will be the title of the new album. I always get a tattoo for my new record. The only one I didn't have one for was The Fame, but I would that to be my David Bowie tattoo because the lightning bold was his make up."

If you thought you knew what Lady Gaga's upcoming album will sound like based on the brand new single "Perfect Illusion," you're in for a surprise. While promoting the song on U.S. radio, Gaga revealed that each track on the much buzzed-about record has its own feeling and "Illusion" is not indicative of its sound.

"I think you really gotta hear the record," Gaga told Sway. "Because the thing is, I've seen people's descriptions of the type of music 'Perfect Illusion' is and I'm going like, 'What?' Because when you made it, you don't think of it as a certain genre or type, it's just a song. So I wouldn't say that song is indicative of the sound on the whole record. But it definitely is part of it and each song has its own story and its own feeling, and it all goes together. And it's a party."

Not only is Lady Gaga the new star of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story, but she's also a massive fan of his new show Scream Queens and wants to make a guest appearance on the series. 

Speaking to Extra at the premiere event for American Horror Story: Hotel, the Emmy-winning producer said: "She's obsessed with Scream Queens! She keeps  asking me, 'Why haven't you written me a cameo? I want to go and be a Kappa girl.' Never say never, but I love that she loves it."

On working with Gaga on Hotel, he added: "She's the most professional, the most hard working… She shows up every day hours before she has to be there. She kisses and hugs every crew member before she starts her day."

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on Wednesday on FX.

The new season of American Horror Story starring Lady Gaga hasn't aired yet, but the singer-turned-actress is already in talks to join the 2016 season of the series. The show's creator Ryan Murphy was so impressed with Gaga's performance in Hotel, that he offered her a role in the yet-untitled season six, tweeting: "Lady Gaga is so brilliant in Season 5 that yesterday I officially asked her to join Season 6. Say yes, Gaga!

"I do know what the next season is, and I've started to talk to people," Murphy told E! last week. "I always have to know by October 1 what the next season is to make it work. It's a very labor intensive thing."

Lady Gaga says she was surprised by her fiancé Taylor Kinney's reaction to her making an acting debut on American Horror Story: Hotel, which premieres tomorrow on FX.

"What guy in that scenario would be like, 'Sure, babe, do TV!'?" Gaga told E!. "He does TV, that's his thing. I do music, and you know, we're together. But I sort of was like, 'Is it cool if I do TV?,' And he was like, 'F--k yeah!'"

Gaga adds that Taylor has been "exponentially supportive the entire time and just like, so cool" as she prepared for her role on the Emmy-winning series.

She recalled: "He was like, 'We can read scripts together, and we can talk about our characters together, and I can teach you how to be on set! And he taught me all about etiquette and what actors would appreciate during their coverage. He taught me to make sure that I was always available fully to the actors when I was working so that when the coverage is on them that I don't drop my character, that I'm always in it for them, and you know, that's invaluable advice."

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres tomorrow at 10 p.m. on FX.

Lady Gaga was honored at the annual National Arts Awards, presented by Americans for the Arts, the nation's leading non-profit organization for advancing the arts and arts education, on Monday night in New York City. Mother Monster received the "Young Artist" award for her work that shows deep commitment to art and demonstrates extraordinary achievement.

"What I always wanted was to be taken seriously and tonight's the closest I might come to that," Gaga said as she accepted the Jeff Koons-designed award, wearing a gorgeous Marc Jacobs gown. "Art can make you foolish and wild but it’s always been a warm blanket for me to rely on. Art has totally cured me. I don't think there's a single award that is more meaningful to me than this one."

Earlier that night, Gaga walked the red carpet of her fiancé Taylor Kinney's new movie Rock the Kasbah.

Lady Gaga's fiancé Taylor Kinney may be her best friend and biggest supporter, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed watching her blood-drenched sex scene in the first episode of American Horror Story: Hotel.

"It was awkward! They had a really lovely premiere in Los Angeles the other week, and I was sitting next to her father and we were both kind of like, 'Wow! Good job, honey!,'" Taylor joked on yesterday's Meredith Vieira Show.

He continued: "I remember I was walking out, and Ryan Murphy, who created the show and directed that episode as well, he's like, 'Hey, what did you think?' and I don't think I said anything. I'm still trying to process what the hell I just watched. Brace yourself, Taylor, because Gaga has filmed about a dozen more sex scenes for the show.

Lady Gaga has a long tradition of getting a tattoo for each new album, and for her latest effort Joanne, she got the album's title inked on her arm. The tattoo is an homage to the singer's aunt Joanne, who died of the autoimmune disease lupus eight years before Gaga was born.

"She's like this goddess that we worshipped in our family our whole lives," Gaga said of her aunt during an interview with Howard Stern. "Her picture was always up, and it was framed so beautifully in the house. We talked about her all the time, every family meal... she was like a guardian angel or spirit guide."

Gaga isn't the only member of the Germanotta family who decided to get inked, either. The singer's father, Joe, paid tribute to his late sister with a matching design as well. "Got Joanne tattooed on my arm in her actual signature," Gaga told fans on Instagram. "My dad got one too. With an angel on his shoulder."

Lady Gaga will be heading to Paris next month to perform at the 2016 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show! Gaga, who recently landed the Super Bowl halftime show gig, has been chosen to headline one of fashion's biggest nights on December 5th.

Other performers at the event are Bruno Mars and The Weeknd.

Lady Gaga, who is currently in Tokyo promoting Joanne, held a press conference during which she spoke about the new album, the meaning behind its lyrics, and her love for her Japanese fans.

"As soon as I got to the hotel last night, I went to my room with the Haus of Gaga, my creative team," Gaga told the press of her visit to Japan. "We put together all of my performances and outfits for the week and talked about all the things we wanted to do here in Tokyo. The most important thing is that we wanted to spread the message of love and positivity to everyone in Japan. So I haven't gotten to go out yet and have any recreational fun but I'm here to do the thing that I love the most which is to spread love."

Gaga cried at the end of the event after receiving a pink Japanese kimono as a gift from Universal Music Japan. "I just to say thank you to Universal for always supporting me," the singer-songwriter said. "And thank you to all of the people in Japan. For my album Joanne to be number one for a second week is a huge honor for me and my family. This name, Joanne, is the single most important name that I can remember hearing growing up. For it to reverberating through the homes of so many people in Japan means the world to me."

Lady Gaga closed out Hillary Cinton's midnight rally in North Carolina with a powerful speech urging Americans to "fight for your future" and support Clinton.

"Sometimes I feel like I've been asleep. I could never have fathomed that I would experience in my lifetime that a woman would become president of the United States," Gaga told the crowd. "During this election we watched her endure such hateful language with dignity. She stood with pride as she was shamed by her opponent, whose angry divisive approach to campaigning divided our entire country. What I'm asking you is to fight for your future and the future of our children."

Not only did Gaga voice support the Democratic candidate, but she also paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson by putting on the very same jacket he wore when he visited the White House in 1990.

Following her powerful speech at Hillary Clinton's midnight rally in North Carolina, Lady Gaga took the stage to perform some of her songs, including the dance hits "Born This Way" and "Bad Romance," as well as "Angel Down," a ballad inspired by gun violence and racial bias in America. She was then joined by Jon Bon Jovi for a performance of Bon Jovi's hit song "Livin' On A Prayer."

Lady Gaga is coming to Australia! Speaking to Nova 96.9's Fitzy and Wippa, the singer confirmed that she will be returning Down Under with a tour supporting her new album Joanne.

"Absolutely I'll be there for a tour and I can't wait to see my Aussie fans," Gaga said. "It's really important to me to always let them know how much I love them and how they have all given me a million reasons to stick around. I always say that and it's so true that I really have in my life realized that not only do I need to be healthy for myself but I need to be healthy for all of those who have loved and supported me over the years. And I just love them so much and can't wait to see their faces when I play these records."

No word yet on the dates or when tickets will go on sale, but the tour is expected to begin sometime next year, after Gaga plays the biggest stage in the world, the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

British Little Monsters, rejoice! Lady Gaga is headed to the UK next week for a performance on the X Factor. The singers-songwriter, who recently released her new album Joanne, will bring the project's latest single "Million Reasons" to the December 4th results show.

This will be Gaga's fourth performance on the popular show. She made her big X Factor debut in 2009 when she sang "Bad Romance" in an oversized white bathtub. In 2011, Gaga stole the show with a jaw-dropping performance of "Marry The Night" during which she quite literally sang her head off. She returned to the show again in 2013 for a medley of the ARTPOP tracks "Venus" and "Do What U Want."

Lady Gaga and Mr. Tony Bennett continue their Cheek to Cheek show with a headlining gig at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. With standing ovations after almost every song, the crowd clapped, cheered and sang along as the duo performed tracks from their latest platinum-selling album.

Before singing one of the many highlights of the night, the French classic "La Vie En Rose," Gaga said a few words about her next album, for the first time publicly. "I can't wait to put out my new record," she told the crowd with a smile.

Lady Gaga has been working on her next pop album for over a year now but hasn't shared any details on what we should expect. Back in June, she teased: "I dream of the morning we share in my new music together. When the new era of Monsters begins again. And the cycle continues."
