Lady Gaga's fiancé Taylor Kinney may be her best friend and biggest supporter, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed watching her blood-drenched sex scene in the first episode of American Horror Story: Hotel.

"It was awkward! They had a really lovely premiere in Los Angeles the other week, and I was sitting next to her father and we were both kind of like, 'Wow! Good job, honey!,'" Taylor joked on yesterday's Meredith Vieira Show.

He continued: "I remember I was walking out, and Ryan Murphy, who created the show and directed that episode as well, he's like, 'Hey, what did you think?' and I don't think I said anything. I'm still trying to process what the hell I just watched. But I couldn't be more proud and she's excited and she's loving it."

Brace yourself, Taylor, because Gaga has filmed about a dozen more sex scenes for the show.

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney may be engaged now, but their first interaction was not love at first sight. The 34-year-old actor, who is the star of NBC's hit series Chicago Fire, told Andy Cohen that Gaga slapped him the first time he kissed her on the set of the "Yoü And I" music video.

"I remember I went up, and we're rolling, and I kissed her and she didn't expect it," Taylor recalled. "They cut, and she slapped me. And it was just awkward. And the next take, I just did it again and then she didn't slap me. She didn't slap me then. We had a good time. I think there was chemistry. It was a late shoot. We were shooting until 4 or 5 in the morning. We exchanged information. A few weeks went by and we kept in touch and then that's that."

The couple got engaged this Valentine's Day after being together for more than three years.

"He put me on the back of his motorcycle and we drove away from all my security and he got in a lot of trouble," Gaga said of her first date with Taylor. "I just remember my helmet got all foggy because I was crying because I hadn't been outside by myself for so long. He hid me away in this little shack at the beach, where we made love all day long and then he introduced me to all his friends. And I'll never forget it because the one before him told me I would never make another friend, he told me I would die a rich old woman in a big house. With all my fame and no sense of the world. But not this guy. He told me that he was a gypsy too and if I wanted to we could go anywhere together or anywhere apart."

Surprise! Lady Gaga has dropped a music video for "John Wayne," a track taken from her number one album Joanne. The wild visual was directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the man behind the singer's epic "Paparazzi" and "Telephone" mini movies, and filmed last month in California, just weeks before Gaga's performance at the Super Bowl.

"I have known Jonas for a really long time and we've been wanting to work together again," Gaga said. "He directed the music video, but the way we usually work is he likes to download from me all the visions of the song. I took him from a bunch of different scenarios and he helped to weave it together into a story. That's what I like about him too, he has a very cinematic approach, but he doesn't forget to make it a real music video."

The 69th Primetime Emmy nominations are in and Lady Gaga's instantly-iconic performance at this year's Super Bowl Halftime show is up for six awards! The show will compete in the following categories: Outstanding Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video Control, Outstanding Production Design, Outstanding Lighting Design/Direction, Outstanding Music Direction, Outstanding Special Class Program, and Outstanding Sound Mixing.

Surprise! With just one week until the release of A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have dropped "Shallow," the first single from the movie's soundtrack. Written by Lady Gaga and her Joanne collaborator Mark Ronson, the power ballad is the first song Gaga's Ally and Cooper's Jack sing together in the film.

"We were writing 'Shallow' from the point of view of Ally, it becomes part of the reason they fall in love," Gaga said. "When I was writing music for the film I had to think about Ally as if she wasn't me. I went with a sound for her, even in the pop realm, that's unlike anything I've ever put out before."

A Star Is Born hits theaters on October 5th.

Lady Gaga is a surprise guest on her friend and collaborator Brian Newman's new album Showboat, out today. The jazz collection, produced by Tony Bennett's son Dae Bennett, features Gaga's cover of Nina Simone's 1964 classic "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."

"We knew we wanted to get Lady Gaga on the new album and 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' felt like the perfect song," Brian Newman said, adding that Showboat is a "diverse playlist that is steeped in the tradition of classic American music as well as its modern counterparts."

Brian Newman has been performing with Gaga throughout her career and will join her on stage again next year during her Lady Gaga: Jazz & Piano show in Las Vegas.

Surprise! Lady Gaga debuted a brand new song called "The Cure" during her Coachella set. "I've been so excited for this next part of the show because I've been trying to keep it a secret for so long," Gaga told the crowd. "I've been in the studio and I'd like to debut a brand new song, The Cure."

She added: "I love you guys so much. I have been through so much in my life and I've seen so much. And you cure me every time with your love."

Lady Gaga's new song "Million Reasons" is here! Co-penned with country singer-songwriter Hillary Lindsay, the heartfelt tune is the second taste of Gaga's upcoming studio album, due out on October 21st. Gaga performed "Million Reasons" for the first time during the first stop of her Dive Bar Tour in Nashville on Wednesday.

"I bow down to pray / I try to make the worst seem better / Lord, show me the way / To go through all his worn out leather / I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away / But baby, I just need one good one to stay," Gaga sings on the track's chorus.

"This is a song about wanting to give up, but you don't," Gaga told Zach Sang earlier this week. "I was sitting with Hillary Lindsay, I remember we were in my house, I was at the piano and she was sitting behind me. And I was just like 'It's just like all the men in my life, I tell you, they give me a million reasons to take a hike and I just need one good one to stick around. I just need one' and she was like 'That's a song.' And I sat down and I started playing."

Back in 2015, Lady Gaga covered Chic's 1978 hit song "I Want Your Love," which was featured in a Tom Ford commercial and became an instant fan-favorite. Three years later, it is finally released officially with re-recorded vocals, re-worked production, and new verses, as part of Chic's appropriately-titled new album "It's About Time."

"She's the greatest, I love her," Nile Rodgers of Chic said of working with Gaga. "How can you not love someone who sings her ass off, comes to the studio looking like a million dollars but will stay there all night if you want. Lady Gaga has shared another taste of her upcoming album Joanne, due out this Friday. While "A-YO" is a country-flavored banger, Gaga says she doesn't consider herself a country musician. "I have a general deep respect for all country musicians, but I myself am not a country musician," Gaga told Rolling Stone of her influences on the song. "I'm just a musician period. Lady Gaga is giving a beautiful closure to the Joanne era with a surprise release of a third and final single from the platinum-selling album. The singer set her fans ablaze with excitement when she released a stunning new version of the album's title track just days ahead of her performance at the 60th GRAMMY Awards in New York City.

The song, re-titled as "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)," was recorded in one take with keyboardist and producer Mark Nilan Jr. ("The Cure") while on the road for the Joanne World Tour last year.

The track and the album were named after Gaga's late aunt Joanne Germanotta who died at the age of 19 due to complications from lupus. "The Lupus Research Alliance is receiving a donation in honor of Joanne Stefani Germanotta," Gaga told fans on Twitter. "Please consider a donation to this tremendous organization."

Gaga will perform "Joanne" during the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in New York City this Sunday. She is also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance for "Million Reasons."

American Horror Story is coming early this year! The show, which typically premieres in October, will now begin airing one month ahead of its usual schedule. The new installment of American Horror Story will debut on Wednesday, September 14th on FX. Lady Gaga, who earned a Golden Globe award for her performance as The Countess in the previous season of the show, has confirmed that she'll be returning for Season Six.

Sarah Paulson is a Little Monster! The actress had an adorable freak out when Lady Gaga tweeted about her excitement to work with Sarah on the upcoming season of American Horror Story.

"I haven't met Lady Gaga, but the highlight of my life probably ever was when she tweeted me," Paulson told E! Online. "People started texting me going, ‘Oh my god!’ I was like, ‘I have had contact with Lady Gaga! Have you?!’ I’m very excited. I'm gonna cry!"

Speaking of her role in American Horror Story: Hotel, she added: "I'm the baddest girl in town, that's all I can say. It's a first for me! I've never really played a character with the real dark side, so I'm excited."

Sam Smith has won the Best Original Song Oscar, beating Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You," at Sunday's ceremony. The 23-year old singer took the opportunity to dedicate the award to the LGBT community and shout out Gaga, who had been his idol for years.

"I actually can't breathe right now, oh my gosh. Gaga you're incredible," he said during his speech. "I want to dedicate this to the LGBT community all around the world. I stand here tonight as a proud gay man. I hope we can stand all together as equals one day."

Sam Smith has been a massive Lady Gaga fan since he was a teenager.

"When I was 16 years old I was living in a tiny village in Cambridgeshire," Smith wrote in a note in his tour book. "I had such huge dreams of being a singer and an artist and had been trying my hardset to break out for so long. It was at that point that I became obsessed with Lady Gaga. It started out as an admiration for her music then became an obsession with her story, her hustle, her bravery and also her voice for gay people. It got to the point where I would check GagaDaily.com almost 8 times a day and I stood in line twice for 10 hours to see her and be front row. The 88th Academy Awards took place on Sunday night in Los Angeles. During the show, Lady Gaga performed a powerful rendition of "Til It Happens to You" to a standing ovation.

I always want to work with her on everything. I do know what the next season is, and I've started to talk to people. I always have to know by October 1 what the next season is to make it work. It's a very labor intensive thing.

I would love for her to come back in any way. We talked about her coming back this season for Hotel. She's getting ready to do that play that I got for her. I'm going to see her this weekend and whisper little, devious things. I love her. But I think that I'll always work with her, so I don't ever worry about that.

On working with Lady Gaga on the set:
I've met and worked with a lot of great people, legends, on and on and on. She was somebody I was very intimidated by and I thought, 'Oh, Lady Gaga. The mystery, the mystique.' I really thought there was a [Greta] Garbo element to her of elusiveness and mystery. What I have found is she is just the best, most fun, most joyful person. Like, you would be stunned. She is so funny and she is down to Earth, and she comes into the set and the crew adores her. The other actors love her. She's funny and she's super professional. If she has a scene to shoot, she's up at the crack of dawn not just working on the look of it, but the acting of it. She's so committed, and yet she's so funny. She's the biggest perfectionist, which I have loved. She's just such a treat and such a joy and she laughs all day long and the people she works with are all so great. She's a true star.

On fans' reaction to Gaga on screen:
When you see that first episode when she comes on the screen, you're like, 'Holy s--t.' She has this incredible, magnetic thing that you can't create. You either have it or you don't. And she has it.

On Gaga's bloody pool party:
Well, that was crazy. Most people have you over for cocktail weenies and maybe a Blue Ribbon. She did all that in one day so we all showed up. It was one of her first weeks of filming and she said, 'Hey, why don't you guys come over to our house?' That was Friday at noon. So Saturday we show up and she has banquets and a rose wall, and it was Angela Basset's birthday weekend and she had a special cake with the Countess killing her character in the cake. The pool was red, it was just so much fun. That's what I mean when I talk about it. She's just a larger than life person and she does everything with so much love and she's in it to win it. She's an extraordinary person. I do think she's one of the world's most talented people. There's always great care and thought into anything and the fact that she could whip that up in two days is a testament to her magical, witchy powers. She's just so fun.

On their dinner with John Travolta and Barbra Streisand:
One day John Travolta said 'I want to meet Lady Gaga,' and I said OK. So I bring him over to her. And she's naked covered in blood. Doing a sex scene. And it was like, 'Oh, maybe it's not the right day for this.' And he was standing behind the monitor like cheering her on, and she was like, so thrilled the first time meeting John Travolta. So I ushered them off into a room. Where I was very proud they got to meet each other. And I said you know Gaga, Barbra Streisand is such a huge fan of yours, because she thinks you're so fearless and that brought tears to her eyes. And he knew about my ongoing obsession with Barbra Streisand so he said we should all get together. So the next day the phone rang and it was John's people saying how's dinner this Saturday at Barbra's house. So Gaga and I said you've got to be kidding me. So we both instantly said yes, and we showed up and it was like like a five-hour fever dream of what you would want at Barbara Streisand's house. We got the tour of the underground mall, and we got to see the costumes and...What I loved about it was their admiration for her and her admiration for them, and I was just watching. I was proud of her. And Gaga dressed up for the dinner. She was wearing a see through crocheted dress for dinner, I believe. Gaga made an entrance at Barbra Streisand's house that was pretty astounding.

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy has teased details about the show's upcoming season to Deadline.

When asked if there will be any musical numbers, Ryan said: "No. People, keep saying to me, 'What numbers are they singing, what numbers are they singing,' and I say there will be no numbers. The interesting thing is we cast a lot of singers this season but I like that singers, for the most part, are always great actors because they know how to sell a story through song, through a scene. I think that's why Gaga was excited about it; it's not something that she's ever done before. It's a pure acting part. I think people expect that she's going to be sitting in a bar in a white silk gown sort of singing songs — she is not."

"The upcoming season that we're doing is much more horror-based; it's much more dark," he continued "It's about a theme and an idea that's very close to my heart that I've always wanted to do that's a little bloodier and grislier I think than anything that we've done before; it's straight horror this year."

Speaking of the set, Murphy added: "We're building this incredible six-story Art Deco hotel on the Fox lot. Everybody in the show is very excited about this season, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters particularly because in every season thus far they've always been sort of the heroes, the good guy or the good lady so to speak, and this season they're playing absolute evil villains so they're very excited about that and I think people will really enjoy it, and the Gaga part is bananas good."

Ryan Murphy might have just hinted that Lady Gaga is already planning a tour for her next album. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy-winning producer said that Gaga had not yet decided if she will return for season six of American Horror Story, which is scheduled for spring 2016, because "she's working on an album and has a tour."

"I really think she's the artist of her generation. I think that she can do everything. She pushes boundaries and I push boundaries which tends to piss a lot of people off," he said of working with Gaga on Hotel, adding: "We have talked about the next season. She's working on her album and she has a tour. So we're trying to figure that out. But I have my fingers crossed, because I have a great role for her next year that she likes."

Lady Gaga told the magazine earlier this month that Murphy is a creative soulmate for her.

"'It's over the top, it's trying too hard...' every single thing I'm sure that has ever been said about Ryan has been said about me many more times for sure," she said. "Through my career, even after Grammys and tons of accolades and awards, I'm still a blond with tits and an ass, and there's like some inability for people to take me seriously. And Ryan is not that way. Ryan's like, 'You're an old movie star, come sit next to me, let me brush your hair, let's talk about your career.'"

Gaga continued: "I know it shouldn't matter that he's gay but for what it's worth I have very special relationships with my gay friends, it's a whole other thing. It's a wise feminine connection that extends beyond sex. It's more about admiring each other as people. So he's certainly a creative soulmate for me and I just can't even believe he's in my life."

Ryan Murphy has spilled fresh details about the first episode of the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel starring Lady Gaga. Speaking to ET Online on the red carpet at the 67th Emmy Awards, he revealed that Gaga's first scene on the show is long, bloody, and epic.

"She's the best! I have to say, she's one of the great professional joys in my life," Murphy said. "She has been such a team player, the cast and crew is obsessed with her. Her performance is amazing. She's a great actress. She's the kind of actress that shows up two hours early. She's very, very committed."

He continued: "Her introduction is a six-minute [scene], almost like a silent movie with no dialogue, and lots of blood and nudity. We started shooting on one of our first days, and you always want to throw people in with an easy scene and she said, 'No, let's go for it.' So, it's pretty phenomenal and I think she'll surprise, in a great way, a lot of people."

American Horror Story: Hotel debuts on October 7th.

RedOne says he and Gaga have recorded eight songs for her upcoming album.

Speaking to 92 PRO-FM, the Morrocan producer confirmed that he's working with Lady Gaga on her new project, adding: "We did eight songs so far, let's see what happens." It has not been yet confirmed how many of those songs, if any, will make the album, which is scheduled for release later this year.

RedOne is the man behind some of Lady Gaga's best-selling hits, including "Just Dance," "Poker Face," "Bad Romance," and "Alejandro." Aside from the singles, he's also produced such gems as "Scheiße," "Monster," and "Hair." Gaga's 2013 album ARTPOP was her first not to feature any tracks produced by RedOne, however, he did co-write the fan favorite "Gypsy."

"With Gaga, I'm fully committed until we're done. We're just going to work on writing songs until we get hopefully the best album of the decade," RedOne said of working on LG5 last year. "The new material feels great. And that's what it is like with me and her – when we both feel great, it's incredible. A lot of it is to do with trust, no ego, just love for the music. And when it's fun and respectful, putting the egos aside, it's magic."

Other collaborators on the album include Mark Ronson, Diane Warren, Elton John, and DJ White Shadow.

Producer RedOne says he's unsure whether the songs he recorded with Lady Gaga for her upcoming studio album will make the final cut. "It's up to her: It's her album, it's her creative process, it's her world, and I'll be happy for her whatever way she takes it," the producer-songwriter told People magazine. "All I know is that we did eight great songs so far, and I think we have incredible songs. She's my sister. I want her to succeed, and I love her. She's just such an amazing artist."

Although he wouldn't reveal any specifics, the 44-year old musician, real name Nadir Khayat, says the new music is true to the sound from Gaga's previous records. "It's a mixture of classic music and futuristic, too – I didn't want to go too far from what she is," he said. "We kept it [similar to] what Gaga is, what she's done all these years. It's special."

RedOne says that one of the songs he produced was supposed to be released as the lead single from Lady Gaga's upcoming album, but that plan was later scrapped. The producer, who is busy promoting his newest single "Don't You Need Somebody," spoke to French MCM about LG5 and revealed that he doesn't know what stage the album is at currently. 

"I don't know where she is musically or mentally right now," he said. "We tried to recreate the magic together in the studio and I think we have some amazing songs, but then again, she's very busy. At some point, one of [the songs] was going to be the first single, but then it changed. I don't know what happened."

RedOne added that recording the first two albums with Gaga was "magical."

"I met he before she was signed to a label," he recalled. "There was no pressure then and she did things without asking questions. After The Fame she became so famous and the circumstances were very different. It wasn't easy in the studio, there were always lots of people around. It became something else and I couldn't continue that way. I can't deny that the first two albums were magical. It was really easy. Working with many artist is easy, but with Gaga, it was something absolutely magical."

FX has set the premiere date for the new season of American Horror Story. The 13-episode show, which began filming in Los Angeles last month, will air Wednesdays at 10 p.m. beginning October 7th. The opening episode will be called "Checking In." Episode two is titled "Chutes and Ladders," while the name of the third one is "Mommy."
