Lady Gaga continues her Joanne World Tour with a sold-out show in Edmonton, Canada. Mother Monster took to the stage at Rogers Place on Thursday night to play songs from her latest album, as well as her old hits and album cuts, in front of over 20,000 fans.

New York City's rainy weather and a broken stage did not stop Lady Gaga from putting on an unforgettable performance when she headlined Citi Field on Tuesday night. Mother Monster braved the pouring rain to play songs from her latest album Joanne, as well as old hits and fan favorites, for a packed crowd during the tour's second night at the Mets' ballpark.

"So about an hour and a half before I came on stage tonight they told me that it was broken," Gaga explained. "And I thought about it. And I thought, 'Well, I'm not broken, so...' And you know, it's really cute what it does: it goes up and down, and it's like an illusion and some s**t. But you know what isn't an illusion? My voice. What is not an illusion is when we're dancing and playing live for you all night long. And when they told me it was raining and I'd probably slip in my heels and I said, 'No, that's also not an option, not in New York.' Here we learn how to dance on a wet concrete."

She added: "So instead of sending you all home we decided that we're gonna throw down New York style, real raw for you tonight."

Lady Gaga performed at the Toronto International Festival during the official premiere of her new documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two on Friday night. Gaga took the stage to give a stunning acoustic performance of her 2009 hit single "Bad Romance" just minutes before the Chris Moukarbel-directed doc made its debut at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre.

"It's a difficult thing to let somebody into your life, and I think it happened slowly and organically, and there were points where she could've pulled the plug on it, but she allowed it to happen and then we had a finished film," Moukarbel said of working with Gaga on the documentary, while she added: "It was a challenging time. There were extreme highs and my life has completely changed in the most wonderful way that I would never take back, but it also included the lowest of lows."

Lady Gaga took the stage in front of Los Angeles' City Hall to honor those lost in the Orlando mass shootings at Pulse nightclub on Saturday night. Dressed down in all black, Gaga gave an emotional speech calling the shooting "an attack on humanity itself" before she read the names of those lost.

"I know that you have all been feeling a tremendous range of emotions, since we’ve all heard about this horrible hateful attack on Orlando and on your and our community," Gaga said. "As we have now witnessed the largest mass shooting in American history, I can't help but feel that this level of hatred, like all prejudicial crimes, this is an attack on humanity itself. This is an attack on everyone. Tonight, I gather humbly with you, as a human being, in peace, in sincerity, in commitment, in solidarity, to take a real moment and mourn the tragic loss of these innocent, beautiful people."

She continued: "Let's all today pledge an allegiance of love to them and their families who are suffering so deeply. They are sons and daughters, they're fathers and mothers, they are all our brothers and our sisters. But tonight I will not allow my anger and outrage over this attack to overshadow our need to honor those who are grieving truly for their lost ones, lost members of the LGBT community."

"I hope you know that myself and so many are your allies," Gaga added. "Not only me but everyone here, we represent the compassion and loyalty of millions of people around the world who believe in you. You are not alone."

The Los Angeles vigil was one of the many events held to remember the victims of Sunday's attack at Pulse night club where a gunman killed 49 and wounded 53 more in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett attracted one of the largest crowds in New Orleans Jazz Festival history when they performed at the Gentilly Stage on Sunday night. Over 25,000 jazz fans showed up to watch the two perform tracks from their Grammy-winning album Cheek To Cheek, which has recently cracked the million sales mark worldwide.

The next stop on Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's Cheek To Cheek tour is Vancouver on May 25th.

Lady Gaga stopped by the iHeartRadio studios to talk about her brand new single "Perfect Illusion" and explain the meaning behind its lyrics.

"I think the most obvious meaning is how love is the most intoxicating drug in the world," Gaga said. It can just make you feel so high that you don't even realize that you're in a relationship that it isn't real. You know, our modern struggle with human connection when it comes to social media and endless running of images on Instagram and Twitter and other social media, we are all kind of creating these perfect illusions of ourselves that we're either trying to keep up with or maybe having trouble keeping up with other people's illusions and unable to find what's authentic in the sea of all of that."

Lady Gaga surprised fans during the second night of the Cheek to Cheek tour at the Hollywood Bowl when she performed a beautiful rendition of Edith Piaf's signature song "La Vie En Rose." Gaga charmed the audience with her powerful vocals as she sang the 1946 classic, wearing a pink dress designed by her sister Natali Germanotta.

“When they told me that I was gonna be singing at the Hollywood Bowl I got so excited because they told me I’d be singing here with Tony," she shared with the sold-out crowd. "What I told them was 'Sometimes, you gotta make your own dreams come true. It’s up to you to make it happen.' So I’d like to dedicate this song to my parents who are here tonight. And to my sister Natali, 'cause my dream is to sing my favorite song in a pink dress made by my sister."

The next stop on Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's tour is London, where they will take the stage at one of the city's most famous and iconic venues, the Royal Albert Hall.

Lady Gaga will honor the late David Bowie with an "experimental tribute" at this year's Grammy Awards. The tribute will be directed by Nile Rodgers, who recently worked with Gaga on a cover of Chic's 1979 hit "I Want Your Love."

"We had already booked Lady Gaga on this year's show, but when David passed — almost in a single moment — we knew we had to change direction," the executive producer of the Grammy Awards Ken Ehrlich told JustJared. "We immediately spoke and agreed that she should be the one to honor David. She's perfect for it."

David Bowie has been a massive influence on Gaga throughout her career, so it should come as no surprise that she was chosen to honor the legendary performer.

"When I fell in love with David Bowie, when I was living on the Lower East Side, I always felt that his glamour was something he was using to express a message to people that was very healing for their souls," Gaga said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter just days before David passed away. "He is a true, true artist and I don't know if I ever went, 'Oh, I'm going to be that way like this,' or if I arrived upon it slowly, realizing it was my calling and that's what drew me to him."

58th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on Monday, February 15, 2016 in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Taylor Kinney who has won his first People's Choice Award! The actor took home the award for Favorite Dramatic TV Actor for his performance on Chicago Fire at Wednesday's ceremony, which took place in Los Angeles. Taylor thanked the cast and crew of the show, his fans, and, of course, his wife-to-be Lady Gaga.

"My fiancé couldn't be here tonight but she says hello and wishes she could," Kinney told the audience as he accepted the award. "I love you, babe. Thank you for having my back and supporting me. You inspire me every day."

Ahead of her much-anticipated performance at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday, Lady Gaga put on a surprise show at the Airbnb Open festival in Los Angeles. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are the stars of Barnes & Noble's new holiday campaign!

The jazz duo are featured in the bookstore chain's new holiday television ad, which will make its television debut during a morning show on Monday. In the video, Gaga and Mr. Bennett walk the aisles of a Barnes & Noble store while looking for a gift for each other and singing the Frank Loesser classic "Baby, It's Cold Outside."

"Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga are two of the most iconic artists in the world today and we're thrilled to bring some of their magic to Barnes & Noble customers," said Glenn Kaplan, Vice President and Creative Director at Barnes & Noble.

Amy Sacks, co-creative director at Roberts + Langer, the company that produced the commercial, added: "This campaign is like a holiday card from Barnes & Noble to all of its customers. We hope that this little gift of a performance by these two incredibly talented artists will put a smile on people's faces. We believe that the true warmth and the connection that Mr. Bennett and Lady Gaga share will be something viewers can feel."

The new commercial was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who had previously worked with Gaga on her music videos for "Paparazzi" and "Telephone."

Lady Gaga turned plenty of heads as she walked the red carpet at the 2016 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night with her fiancé Taylor Kinney. Mother Monster, who is nominated for her acting debut on American Horror Story: Hotel, looked flawless in a classic black gown, custom made for her by Donatella Versace.

"I had a glass of wine, and a cigarette, and a prayer in the car," Gaga told NBC when asked if she was nervous. "But I'm feeling really great. I'm just happy to be here. I'm in the company of so many talented actors, especially my cast of American Horror Story. I'm so grateful to be here with Ryan Murphy, such a talented man."

Lady Gaga's long list of talents includes singing, songwriting, acting, producing, directing, roof jumping, farming, professional Starbucks drinking, and being Italian. Now, she can expand it even further by proudly adding "conducting an orchestra."

While working on new music for one her upcoming projects with producer and composer Mark Nilan Jr., Gaga not only sang with an orchestra, but also conducted it all by herself.

"We had the orchestra coming in," Mark wrote in an Instagram post. "Music prepared. Then decided to add orchestra to one more song, with one hour before the start time. We wrote this orchestra arrangement in an hour. With pencil and paper. I literally wore through four pencils. Have yet to come across anyone that can pull that off these days... And it sounds epic. Wait til' you hear it."

Congratulations are in order for Lady Gaga, whose 2013 album ARTPOP has just been certified platinum in the United States. The news comes just days after Gaga's most recent release, Joanne, received the same award from the Recording Industry Association of America. This also now means that all of Mother Monster's solo albums are certified platinum (or higher) in her home country.

ARTPOP was released in November 2013 to mixed critic reviews, but was commercially successful, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 258,000 copies. The album became Gaga's second consecutive number one in the United States and earned a nomination for Top Dance/Electronic Album at the Billboard Music Awards. ARTPOP spawned three singles, the Top 5 smash "Applause," "Do What U Want" (featuring Christina Aguilera), and "G.U.Y."

Lady Gaga took to her Twitter account on Wednesday to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement in the wake of recent police shootings. "I pray for the black community who suffer fear of prejudice, violence and injustice. We need lawfulness, fairness, unity," Gaga tweeted along with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

While Lady Gaga has been outspoken about many social issues, such as LGBT rights, immigration, and teenage bullying, this is the first time she's publicly supported the controversial movement. Her tweet was met with approval by most fans, with one writing: "Thank you, Gaga, for being an ally and using your platform for good," while another added simply: "This means so much to me."

Mark Ronson says Lady Gaga's upcoming album is "pretty deep." The hitmaker, who worked on most songs on Gaga's new record and is likely its executive producer, raved about collaborating with the superstar in a new interview with Buro 24/7's Tracy Phillips.

"I went in on the first day with very open expectations," Mark recalled. "I didn't know if we would work together for two weeks or six months. I knew she was very talented, I'd seen her perform and knew how seriously she takes music. She's really a muso at heart, and is happiest when she's sitting behind the piano yelling out chord changes to the drummer or whatever. But we started working and it kind of exceeded any expectations of what I thought the music was going to be like."

He continued: "It's been one of my favourite records to work on and some of the people who have come in to play on it are my favourite musicians, writers and some of her favourites. I think it's just really good music and probably a record for people who might not have realised that her music had something for them — at least based on the small amount of people who've heard it so far. It's definitely pretty deep musically for sure."

Earlier this week, Lady Gaga announced that the lead single from the yet-untitled album is called "Perfect Illusion" and will be released in September. The track was co-produced by Gaga, Ronson, Bloodpop, and Kevin Parker.

Lady Gaga is VOGUE's next cover girl. We're hearing that the pop superstar will grace the October issue of the American edition of the iconic magazine and the photoshoot has been done by her friends and long-time collaborators Inez & Vinoodh. The cover will be revealed in early September, and will hit newsstands just weeks before the premiere of A Star Is Born, which marks Gaga's first major film role.

Lady Gaga says American Horror Story has liberated her and become a place where she can put all her imperfections.

"I am finding a million new things about myself, what I want and who I want to be but most importantly, I have actually found a place to put so much pain and anguish that I have nowhere to put," Gaga told The Inquirer. "You can put it in your music but that's not always what people want from me in my music... They want a sweet, delightful, 'Just Dance' kind of girl or they want 'Bad Romance' and that's fine."

She continued: "I am happy to give people that but maybe with my song 'Dope' or some of the things I did on ARTPOP, you saw a kind of dark side, wrapped up in colors. But maybe that was not always what people want to see. They want to see the perfection. Here (on Hotel), it's the imperfection that is the win. So it's very liberating."

Lady Gaga returned to the House of Blues club in Boston on Saturday night for another performance with her friend Brian Newman and his band. Gaga took the stage to sing some of her favorite jazz standards, such as "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," just minutes after headlining Fenway park across the street for a second time.

Unlike her surprise appearance at the same club on Friday, last night's show was promoted by Gaga on Twitter and the club packed with Little Monsters dressed up in their favorite Gaga outfits. 

"At House of Blues, she wasn't Lady Gaga the untouchable legendary megastar," a Gaga Daily reader Hunter told us. "She was Stefani Germanotta dropping in on her friend's show and giving it her all with her buddies singing the music that she so clearly throws all of her passion into. In all of my years living here and seeing concerts around the city, I have never seen such universal excitement and awe from the crowd."

Another fan, Jon, added: "I don't know how this woman can play a full two hour show, then jump on stage and blow you away only minutes later at an after show. One thing I will say, whether she's playing a stadium with thousands of people or you see her from feet away in a small venue, she somehow manages to make you feel she's singing directly to you. Hands down the best experience of my life!"

Right on the heels of Lady Gaga's first win at the Golden Globes for her show-stopping performance on American Horror Story: Hotel, the singer-songwriter has been nominated for an Oscar with "Til It Happens to You." The track is up for the Academy Award's Best Original Song, and it is Gaga's very first nomination for the prestigious award. 

The other nominees are: "Earned It" from Fifty Shades of Grey, "Manta Ray" from Racing Extinction, "Simple Song 3" from Youth, and "Writing's On the Wall" from Spectre.

Penned by Diane Warren and Gaga for the documentary The Hunting Ground, "Til It Happens to You" has received significant acclaim from fans and critics alike since its release in 2015. The song has racked up more than 20 million views on VEVO and peaked in the Top 10 on the global iTunes chart. It has also received a nomination for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards, and a nod at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards for Best Original Song.

The string of nominations builds on a long winning streak for Lady Gaga since Cheek to Cheek was released and topped the charts in 2014. Mother Monster has won her sixth Grammy, received a Songwriters Hall of Fame award, and was named Billboard's 2015 Woman of the Year.

Lady Gaga brought her career full circle as she performed at a New York City dive bar as part of her three-date Dive Bar Tour on Thursday night. Just hours before the release of her brand new album Joanne, the singer-songwriter took the stage at The Bitter End, a bar she sang at when she was known as Stefani Germanotta.

"I've been playing here since I was fifteen years old," Gaga told the excited crowd. "This is where I started and I truly cannot believe that you guys moved the grand piano for me. That has never been moved off this stage before as long as I've known its existence, so thank you."

During her set, Gaga played six songs from Joanne, including the promo singles "Million Reasons" and "A-YO," as well as the never-before-heard "Joanne," "Grigio Girls," and "Just Another Day." Mother Monster was joined on stage by the album's executive producer Mark Ronson and her longtime New York friend Brian Newman.

But just one packed show wasn't enough for Gaga. Shortly after finishing her set inside the bar, she took the performance to the bar roof. "Who knew there was a roof out here?" Gaga told fans who couldn't get in and waited for her outside. "We felt bad that we couldn't fit you all in. I just thought, you know, maybe if I got to sing this song outside that maybe Joanne could hear me up there."

She then delivered an emotional encore performance of "Angel Down," a haunting ballad inspired by Trayvon Martin. "There's so much stuff going on in the world, but we need to remember to stay together, you know? And stick together, and love each other, and care about each other," Gaga said waving her pink hat.

Just hours after making a surprise appearance at Elton John's free concert in West Hollywood, Lady Gaga attended The Weinstein Company's pre-Oscar dinner on Saturday night. Mother Monster looked stunning in a custom black and white Brandon Maxwell gown as she arrived at the star-studded event with her fiancé Taylor Kinney.

At the dinner, Gaga was spotted with fellow New Yorker, Lana Del Rey. According to those in attendance, the pop stars spoke for over ten minutes and posed for pictures together.

Lady Gaga is set to sing her Oscar-nominated song "Til It Happens to You" at Sunday's ceremony. Gaga's performance will be introduced by US Vice President Joe Biden, who will give a speech aimed at combating sexual violence.

Lady Gaga surprised fans with an appearance at the 2015 British Fashion Awards in London on Monday night. Gaga looked absolutely stunning in a Tom Ford dress as she posed for photographers at the event's red carpet.

Gaga supported her friend and long-time collaborator Nick Knight, who was honored with the Isabella Blow Awards for Fashion Creator at the show for his work as a fashion and documentary photographer. Knight worked with Gaga on visuals for her Monster Ball tour and the Born This Way album, and more recently, on the runway video for Tom Ford's latest collection, in which she starred.

"I'm just really happy to be here," Gaga told E! Online. "Nick Knight is being honored, who is a wonderful friend of mine and I am just proud to be here with him and to support so many people that are such visionaries and have given me so much. I always say that fashion is crucial for my existence. And so everyone that is here tonight is a part of my religion."

Congratulations to Lady Gaga who just won her very first Golden Globe Award! Mother Monster took home the award for "Best Actress in a Limited Series" award for her role as The Countess on the latest season of American Horror Story.

"I feel like Cher in that John Patrick Shanley film Moonstruck right now," Gaga said as she accepted the trophy. "This is one of the greatest moments of my life. I have to thank Ryan Murphy, you're just a wonderful human being. You have believed in me so much and been such a good friend to me.
