Lady Gaga is set to release a documentary to accompany her new album Joanne, which drops this Friday. The video will follow the singer through the process of creating the record with her collaborators Mark Ronson, BloodPop, Florence Welch, and more. Gaga's plan for the film was mentioned in her T Magazine cover story: "A cameraman — she is making a documentary about the new project — filmed the whole time."

Lady Gaga has previewed the studio recording of "A-Yo." Gaga arrived in Paris on Sunday ahead of her performance at the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The runway show is taped on Wednesday and airs on December 5.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper will perform their smash hit "Shallow" from A Star Is Born at the 91st Academy Awards! While there was little doubt that the defining soundtrack of the year would be celebrated at Hollywood's biggest night, the Academy has officially confirmed the performance, tweeting simply: "Cooper. Gaga. Shallow. Oscars."

The announcement comes amid reports that Gaga refused to sing at the ceremony unless all five Best Original Song nominees are given performance slots. The Academy had reportedly planned to trim the show by spotlighting only two of the nominated songs during the telecast, one of which being "Shallow." According to Deadline, Gaga felt that it was completely unfair to the eliminated songs and informed the Academy that she would't perform if a change wasn't made.

The duo got a chance to rehearse the song live for the first time when Gaga brought Bradley on stage during her ENIGMA show in Las Vegas. "That was terrifying," Cooper said of the impromptu performance. "I just had to like, Zen out and just pray that I wouldn't ruin her show. Because, think about it, she just crushed it or two hours and I thought, 'Please let me just be on pitch.'"

The 91st Academy Awards will be held on 24 February, 2019 at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles.

On working with Bradley Cooper:
He sings from his gut, from the nectar! I knew instantly: This guy could play a rock star. And I don't think there are a lot of people in Hollywood who can. That was the moment I knew this film could be something truly special.

On her first Las Vegas residency:
I've always hated the stigma around Las Vegas—that it’s where you go when you're on the last leg of your career. Being a Las Vegas girl is an absolute dream for me. It's really what I've always wanted to do. We're plowing away, making something brand-new, but still with the iconography that we've already created—and making sure fans leave with the feeling that they went home for a bit with their community.

On dealing with fibromyalgia:
I get so irritated with people who don’t believe fibromyalgia is real. For me, and I think for many others, it's really a cyclone of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and panic disorder, all of which sends the nervous system into overdrive, and then you have nerve pain as a result. People need to be more compassionate. Chronic pain is no joke. And it's every day waking up not knowing how you're going to feel.

Lady Gaga turned up at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday night to support her longtime friend and stylist Brandon Maxwell as he debuted his brand new collection. Wearing custom Maxwell, Gaga was seen cheering on Brandon at the front row and gave him a standing ovation when the designer took his bow at the end.

On working with Bradley:
I think Bradley is an incredible filmmaker. I have acted before, but I've never been the lead actress of a feature film. Every day on set was such a thrill to watch him work. You can see the gears turning while he's working even when he’s in character.

On her gay fan base:
I make a joke sometimes, behind every female icon is a gay man. I really wouldn’t be here without the gay community, what they have taught me about love and acceptance and bravery. They have wrapped their arms lovingly around me. It's something I'm very grateful for and I'm very grateful that Bradley honored it in the film.

On her stripped-down image in the film:
I do love makeup. And I love fashion, and costumes, and drag, and I do a lot of it myself. But I think it was the friendship where I really trusted Bradley in exposing myself in a way that I've never exposed myself before. He wanted no make-up on my face. I dyed my hair my natural color. It was a challenge, but it was also very liberating.

Lady Gaga stopped by the Good Morning America studios in Times Square to talk about her newly-released album Joanne, as well as her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl Halftime show, the Dive Bar tour, her recent T Magazine cover, and more.

"Joanne was my father's sister. This album is named after her, as well as my middle name. She died in 1974," Gaga told Michael Strahan. "The tragedy really stayed with our family our whole lives, and I wanted to make a record about family and friendship and togetherness and learning from the past, and that's why we’re here today."

Ahead of of World Mental Health Day, which takes place on October 10, Lady Gaga teamed up with the World Health Organization for an op-ed in The Guardian about the lack of reliable mental health support services around the world and the need to stop stigmatizing treatable conditions.

"Suicide is the most extreme and visible symptom of the larger mental health emergency we are so far failing to adequately address," Gaga and director general of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom, write in the essay, entitled "800,000 People Kill Themselves Every Year. What Can We Do?"

"Stigma, fear and lack of understanding compound the suffering of those affected and prevent the bold action that is so desperately needed and so long overdue."

 In June, not long after the deaths of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, Lady Gaga opened up about some of her own mental health struggle, appearing alongside her mother at the Children Mending Hearts' Empathy Rocks fundraiser.

"I can't remain silent any longer. The passing of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain has made me want to speak up about my mental illness," she said at the time. "I have been experiencing suicidal ideation and cyclical obsessive suicidal thoughts for the past four years."

She continued: "I have struggled for a long time, both being public and not public about my mental health issues or my mental illness. But, I truly believe that secrets keep you sick."

World Mental Health Day is observed on October 10 every year to raise awareness on mental health issues around the world. This year, the theme is "Young people and mental health in a changing world," a vital concern given that approximately 1 in 5 adolescents experience mental and behavioural problems in any given year. 

Little Monsters in attendance at the early screening of A Star Is Born in midtown Manhattan were in for a surprise when Lady Gaga herself showed up to say a few words about the highly-anticipated movie and thank the fans for their support.

"There can be a hundred people in a room and 99 don't believe in you, but all you need is just for one person to believe,” Gaga told the audience. "So I have to say thank you to my incredible director Bradley Cooper for being that one person. But also it would be a lie to not thank each and every one of you who have supported me over the years. I would not be here without you."

Lady Gaga made an appearance on Good Morning America on Friday morning as part of the promotional tour for her newly-released movie A Star Is Born. The superstar sat down with Michael Strahan to chat about working with Bradley Cooper, recording the film's theme song "Shallow," and more.

"I'm so, so humbled by this experience, it's a dream come true," Gaga said on her first major acting role, adding: "In a lot of ways I still have a lot left to say. So much left to say, so much more music, so much more acting, hopefully."

Lady Gaga has announced that she'll be putting out a series of mini-films documenting the making of her brand new album Joanne, out tomorrow. The first installment of the web series dropped today and it shows Gaga, Mark Ronson, and Bloodpop writing and recording "A-YO," the album's new buzz single.

"I loved how we could see the real instruments that they used for it, that definitely made me appreciate the song more," one fan reacted on the Gaga Daily forums, while another added: "The video shows they had so much great time together as a team. I hope there will be one of each track!"

Lady Gaga is bringing Joanne to the AMAs! The singer-songwriter has been added to the list of performers at the 2016 American Music Awards that will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on November 20th.

Gaga has not yet revealed which song (or songs) she will be singing, but fans are speculating that we'll most likely hear "Million Reasons" or "A-YO." Fueled by last week's performance on Saturday Night Live, both tracks are currently charting in the Top 20 on iTunes, however, Gaga says that there's no second single for Joanne yet.

"I'm not approaching putting out this record in the same way that I've ever put out a record before," Gaga told Howard Stern. "I'm gonna perform it, and sing the music, and make films. I'm gonna make videos, I'm gonna sing the s**t out of it, and perform it for my fans, and sell it old-school style."

Lady Gaga has teamed up with democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to push for a new campus sexual assault policy at all of the state's colleges and universities. In a joint op-ed piece, published by Billboard magazine on Monday, the two called campus sexual assault an "unacceptable epidemic," and urged lawmakers to pass the bill called "Enough is Enough" to help reduce assaults and ensure justice for victims.

"Sexual assaults are not just violations of local campus rules – they are crimes that must be treated as such," the pair wrote. "Victims must know that they have the right to call the police, and they must be supported in their recovery, regardless of whether that could mean negative publicity for their school."

They added: "We have a responsibility to the young men and women of this country to stand up against sexual violence everywhere. Everyone – from lawmakers and educators to advocates like Born This Way Foundation and the students themselves – need to join forces on this issue. Together, we must create the scaffolding necessary to foster the mental, emotional, and physical health of all young people."

Lady Gaga stunned the crowd lined up outside London's Royal Albert Hall as she made a surprise appearance at the annual British Fashion Awards on Monday evening. The megastar looked gorgeous in an elegant full-length gown designed by her longtime friend and collaborator Brandon Maxwell.

"I love the dress Brandon Maxwell made for me tonight," Gaga said. "Special dress. Special evening. So many inspiring artists, a real celebration of art."

Lady Gaga has unfortunately postponed the release of her new album Chromatica due to the coronavirus outbreak. The album, that was slated to arrive on April 10, will now be released later this year.

"I wanted to tell you, that after a lot of deliberation, I've made the incredibly tough decision to postpone the release of Chromatica," Gaga wrote in an Instagram post. "I will announce a new 2020 release date soon."

She explained: "This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn't feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic."

Gaga also revealed that she had planned many surprises, including a secret Coachella set, most of which had to be canceled because of the outbreak: "I had so many fun things planned for us to celebrate together. I had a secret Coachella set lined up, and a lot of other fun surprises, some of which I'm still planning to share with all of you very soon."

The COVID-19 outbreak has led to countless shows, tours, and projects being canceled or postponed. Other artists to delay the release of new music include Sam Smith, Kehlani, and HAIM.

Host Alicia Keys kicked off the 2019 Grammy Awards with the help of special guests Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Alicia Keys, Michelle Obama, and Jennifer Lopez. The ladies appeared on stage to a standing ovation and spoke about the power of music and how it changed their lives.

"They said that I'm weird, that my look, my choices, my sound, that I wouldn't work but music told me not to listen to them," Gaga said. "Music took my ears, took my hands, my voice and my soul, and it led me to all of you and my Little Monsters, who I love so much."

The BAFTAs are one of the most prestigious nights in film, often seen as a harbinger of the Oscars, and will take place in London on Sunday, February 10th. However, it is unclear if Lady Gaga will attend the show as it happens to be on the same day as the Grammy Awards, where she's up for major categories Song of the Year and Record of the Year for the first time in nearly a decade.

Lady Gaga looked gorgeous as she walked the red carpet of the North American premiere of A Star Is Born at the Toronto International Film festival on Sunday afternoon. Wearing an Armani Privé black velvet gown with Swarovski-embellished sleeves, the actress signed autographs for fans and posed for pictures with her co-star Bradley Cooper.

"To be the lead actress in Bradley's first film is an absolute privilege," Gaga told Variety at the red carpet. "He told me 'All you have to do is trust me,' and I did. I took off all my make-up, I dyed my hair back my natural color. I lived that way for months before we shot. We did workshops together and prepared our characters. We've developed a real and true friendship, and I think it's carried us through this whole process."

Lady Gaga is in London! After spending the week with her boyfriend Taylor Kinney, who is currently on the set of a movie in Serbia, Mother Monster touched down at Heathrow earlier today and was greeted by a massive crowd of screaming fans outside her hotel.

Lady Gaga is set to play two sold-out shows at the legendary Royal Albert Hall with Tony Bennett on Monday and Tuesday nights. The Monday concert will benefit WellChild, a national charity working to support children and young people with complex health needs. 

"WellChild is thrilled that Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett are supporting WellChild through this concert," said a spokesperson for the charity. "The proceeds will be a massive boost to our work to support seriously ill children and their families across the UK."

It was announced earlier this month that Prince Harry, who is a patron of WellChild, will be in the audience.

Congratulations to Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett who won the Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for their critically acclaimed hit album Cheek To Cheek at this year’s show!

This is Lady Gaga’s sixth Grammy Award. Her previous wins include Best Electronic/Dance Album” for The Fame, Best Pop Vocal Album for The Fame Monster, Best Dance Recording “Poker Face,” Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Best Short Form Music Video for “Bad Romance.”

Lady Gaga took some time out of her schedule to attend the Children Mending Hearts' 10th Annual Empathy Rocks in Los Angeles with her mother Cynthia on Sunday. At the charity event, Gaga and Cynthia's Born This Way Foundation was honored with the Global Changemaker Award.

Lady Gaga made an appearance at the London premiere of her highly-anticipated movie A Star Is Born on Thursday. Wearing an Elizabethan-inspired ivory gown by Alexander McQueen, the actress looked stunning as she posed for pictures with her co-star and director Bradley Cooper.

"Bradley is a friend for life. Incredible human being. Not only did I make a great friend from this film, but I got to witness such a masterful artist," Gaga told the Daily Mail on the red carpet. "He's a renaissance man. He directs, writes. He wrote songs for this film, sang live, directed, starred."
