  1. Nothing Beyoncé can do. She's not pushing anyone on us. Children naturally want to imitate their parents. And she should have the freedom to experiment. The real criticism here should be aimed at people on social media who are too harsh on a child, not the parent for allowing their child to do what they enjoy.

  2. Good, he’s a great producer. But I wish she collaborated with more up-and-coming people, I sometimes feel like Gaga arrives a bit late to the party with her sounds. She missed the SOPHIE train, Danny L’Harle has just been snatched by Dua… Either way, curious about what’s to come. She and the fanbase deserve to experience a smooth era after all this time…

  5. Agreed. Nostalgic for the days when she was working with producers that weren’t huge in the industry, but helped her establish her sound (RedOne, DJWS, Garibay).

  7. I always take caution when judging someone's grief. We have no idea what Taylor and/or her team did for this family. Maybe they requested to attend as part of their healing process? Grief is so weird and how people get through it shouldn't be judged.

  12. I just want to point out that when Gaga is working with producers, she’s encouraging them to work outside of their comfort zone when it comes to their signature sound. She has said this herself. If he is a producer on any song for LG7 I assure you it won’t sound anything like this producers previous work. That’s what I love so much about our girl. It’s always something unexpected. Either way I’m excited.

  14. Why do people let kids get on social media?? It causes nothing but issues for people this young. I'm glad that she wants to overcome what they are saying, but that isn't good for her self-esteem. There will always be haters, regardless of how hard she works.

  15. So it seems that yes they’ve been in contact, probably longer than we’ve known about. I’m glad they’re getting to complete Ana’s dream, I truly am. It must be so hard to do in a time of such mourning, but I know this is part of the healing process. RIP Ana, this one’s for you.

  20. Have you considered that 1. Maybe they ASKED to be there so they could fulfill their daughter’s dream on her behalf 2. That they WANT to be there and that seeing Ana’s desire through to the end is helping them in their grief? Y’all act like Taylor forced them to come. They wouldn’t be there if they didn’t have a desire and reason to be, and by the looks of it this means a lot to them You don’t know these people, you don’t know what conversations have been had behind closed doors, and you especially don’t know what this means to them. What we do know is that she has been in contact, she has assisted them financially (as revealed in an article from the Washington Post and various other outlets), and has made a point to show them support. She has not done it in full view of cameras because perhaps she realizes that’s not the way to do it? We don’t have a right to know what is happening in private. All we know is what her family allows us to know. Making assumptions in the place of knowledge we have no business of is really gross given the circumstances. People express and cope with their grief in different ways. I went to a U2 concert my Dad’s place because he passed away and it was so healing to get to carry forward and do what he wanted to do the way he wanted to do it. No reason to believe this isn’t the same for them.

  27. I feel like Cirkut has been brought in at the end to put final touches on the album. Kind of like Bloodpop with Joanne, and Madeon/Max Martin with 911/Stupid Love. Cirkut is definently a generic pop machine, but he's talented and his production is on point, so I have faith that whatever he is contributing is going to enhance the project. Still curious what route this album is going to go down, but this makes me more excited that we're going to get some bangers.

  33. Near the end of her new concert documentary, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” Beyoncé states that she’s tired of being a “serial people-pleaser.” Since she was a child, she says, she has been striving for stardom, but now that she’s on top of the world and two years into her revelatory 40s, it’s time to recalibrate. “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point,” she says. Maybe that’s why Beyoncé decided to skip the red carpet entirely at the Los Angeles premiere of her movie on Saturday night, leaving that task to a starry list of invitees that included Tyler Perry, Ava DuVernay, Lizzo and Issa Rae. Though Beyoncé made a posed appearance at the Oct. 11 premiere of “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” — like that concert documentary, “Renaissance” will be distributed by AMC Theaters — she entered her own premiere only after the lights had been turned off and the movie was seconds away from beginning. Unlike Swift, who shares plenty about her life and is currently in a high-profile, well-documented romance with the N.F.L. player Travis Kelce, Beyoncé is one of our most private superstars. She has given virtually no interviews over the last decade, and any insight into her life or work mostly has to be inferred from brief statements released on social mediaor her website. “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” which chronicles the most recent world tour in support of her seventh studio album, offers fans something new to interpret, pulling back Beyoncé’s curtain ever so slightly. By and large, the Renaissance tour eschewed celebrity cameos and surprise drop-ins, preferring to keep the focus on the queen bee herself. Big names joined Beyoncé onstage at only two tour stops: Houston, where Megan Thee Stallion performed “Savage,” and Los Angeles, where Diana Ross and Kendrick Lamar came out for the concert held on Beyoncé’s 42nd birthday. Those appearances all made it into the movie, but the special guest the movie is most interested in is Beyoncé’s 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, who often participated as one of the dancers on her mother’s songs “My Power” and “Black Parade.” I caught one of Blue Ivy’s first tour appearances last May in London, where she was still getting the hang of her choreography, but by the end of the Renaissance tour, she had everything — the moves, the attitude — down pat. Turns out, Blue Ivy’s performance was only supposed to be a one-off, and even that took some negotiating. “She told me she was ready to perform, and I told her no,” Beyoncé says in the film. Though she finally relented, Beyoncé was dismayed when Blue Ivy read comments on social media that criticized her lackluster moves. But it thrilled her mother that instead of quitting, she decided to put in the work and train even harder for future stops. Blue Ivy also pops up in much of the behind-the-scenes footage, offering her often unsugarcoated opinion on stage design, song choices and more. In a film where everyone else treats Beyoncé as a boss or a goddess, Blue Ivy is an amusingly irreverent presence: To this 11-year-old, Beyoncé is just a mom. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/26/movies/beyonce-renaissance-premiere-film.html

  34. Just because Gaga's working with a certain producer doesn't mean that that's going to be indicative of the sound of the album. She's worked with countless producers who have made songs that are unlike other stuff in their discography. At the end of the day, it's all about what Gaga wants to do with the album, not about what her producers have done in the past.

  36. Well, by the time Joanne and Chromatica happened, BloodPop had already been all over Madonna and Justin Bieber's 2015 albums so he wasn't really new to the pop star game. I'm not sure how Chromatica's sound is aging, it was definitely on trend in 2020, but to me ARTPOP is her most dated sounding record, especially the Zedd and more EDM-leaning songs. Meanwhile, Born This Way is still generating hits 12 years after its release.
