Yes, because of smartphones. Millenials were the last generation that was able to go buckwild at a club. Gen Z can't because everybody has a smartphone, and everybody is willing to record and publish anybody being slightly messy in order to farm clout on Twitter from shaming them publically. Everybody is so willing to catch you in being "cringy" and humiliate you. Nobody is dancing anymore, they're all just standing there. Mortified, with their phones in their hand, waiting to record. Because if you record, you're not the one getting recorded. And I think they're quite self aware about it, they want to experience being a hot mess from being a little to tipsy at a party just once, while Just Dance is playing in the background. They long for being a regular human, that doesn't have to conduct themselves publically like a celebrity with PR training to keep up their public image and social standings. And... that's kinda sad.

I saw there's a law that's expiring this week that will shorten the statue of limitations again and not allow historical cases to be sued for after the filing deadline. That's why so many cases have been filed this past week including against Diddy, Terry Richardson, Axl Rose, Mayor Eric Adams and Jaime Foxx with some of them dating back to the 80s.

Shakira has paid 6.6 million euros ($7.2 million) to a Spanish court investigating her for unpaid taxes in 2018, her agent said Friday, just days after she reached a deal to avoid trial in another tax case. Spanish prosecutors in July opened a second case against the singer, accusing her of using a network of companies, some of them based in tax havens, to cheat Spain's tax office out of some 6.6 million euros in 2018, including interest and adjustments. She is accuses of defrauding €5.3 million ($5.8 million) from her 2018 tax return, corresponding to income from her tour that year and from the transfer of her intellectual rights, plus another 773,600 euros ($845,000) in wealth tax for the nearly 12 million she holds in real estate and financial assets. As a Freudian/Jungian I would take it further and say sex for men is about seeking the comfort of the mother. The womb of the mother (+then the breasts) are in many ways symbols of primordial state where the infant is completely dependent on the mother who is bigger and more complete than him, offering him warmth, nutrition etc. Male agression is the result of the trauma of being separated from this transcendent image of the mother -like the cry of a child who is angry for not having the primordial security and warmth around him. This went wayyyy too deep but this is truly what I believe. When I see these ''though guys'' full of muscles and tattoes my first thoughts are that these are always the image of the desire to make up for an inner vulnerability. Males ''competing'' for women is just males trying to re-find the archetype of the motherly comfort, and the child inside any male is scared he is not good enough for that woman and that other males will try to ''steal'' his mother from him.

I love the dichotomy in her discography: TF was light and lyrically “superficial,” TFM was the opposite. BTW was dark imagery but focused on positive and inspiring lyrics, ARTPOP was the opposite ASIB wasn’t very personal lyrically, but the production was amazing. Joanne was the opposite.
