Don’t do anything to please the fans. Don’t do anything to try to get a hit song. Make something that you like and you’re proud of. Take your time.25 points

Even if it's her, which I don't think it is, this is Gaga we're talking about, which means the song is being scrapped as we speak22 points

You are judging people based on age and where they are born in! Clearly Dolly is someone who rebelled and spoke out against her conservative religious Bubble, and did the right thing her whole life, so for you to just dismiss her as an old boomer from Tennessee is bad16 points

During Katy's final show part of her Las Vegas residency Play, Perry's 3-year-old daughter made her first public appearance when she appeared onscreen "Daisy! I love you so much," Perry said, as seen in fan-captured footage . "You're my best friend, I'm so glad you're here." source At another point during the show, as Perry was about to close out her final Vegas residency performance, Katy shouted out everyone who made Play the program it became — including Daisy. In a video also shared by an audience member, the singer paid tribute to Orlando Bloom for being "an incredible support system" and "an amazing father." Perry then turned her attention to their little girl, stating, "I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove." "When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up. She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again," she continued. "So this show is for everyone's inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we would be free."12 points

ultimately i know dolly doesnt support his views much like gaga doesnt support r kelly being an abuser and a pedophile. i'm very confident that dolly doesnt agree with his transphobia. what we're not gonna do is cancel someone who has done unimaginable good for the world in terms of lgbt rights, childrens literacy and education, scholarships, health (covid vaccines, cancer research, childrens hospitals), natural disasters (tennessee wildfires), etc. thats just to name a few. she likely had very little choice in this collab. we know labels have a massive input in collaborations between artists and are usually the sole reason they happen in the first place. dolly is a good person and not hateful, transphobic, or homophobic. let her be10 points

The production of Speechless did not age well and makes the song hard to listen to today. I would love a more pared down re-recording (Stefani’s version lol) So Happy I Could Die is one of Gaga’s best songs Bad Romance is NOT overrated. It’s a pop masterpiece that we as fans have simply been overexposed to.9 points

All this proves is that her best days are behind her and she would not be the commercial juggernaut she is without the gimmick of the re-releases. Taylor has sales and that's it. When artists like Ed Sheeran, Morgan Wallen or even BTS do crazy numbers we think it's weird and we don't get the appeal. This is the same thing, and that's what you guys don't understand. You expect us to conflate sales with quality/impact/legendary status but the math ain't mathing because nothing about Taylor justifies that. She is succeeding because her music is a bland commodity easily digested by and appealing to the lowest common denominator, because she has an artificially high prolificacy thanks to the re-releases and because she has succeeded in creating a highly engaged teenage girl incel fanbase. Not because she is "the best," and not because she is extraordinary in any way. She is never touching the Beatles, MJ, Madonna or any real legend, and no one will ever think of her that way. But enjoy her numbers. And preferably, enjoy them in a Taylor Charts thread so you all can circle j*rk in there without the rest of us needing to see it.7 points

No we wouldn’t. Most people here do not like or listen to Nicki. This rumor was also in the lead up to 1989 re release (people thought Nicki and her worked together on an track called Sagittarius or something, which they believed was a vault track) and we mostly had the same general responses, criticizing the possibility of Taylor working with her. Consider also Gaga's history of working with people like R. Kelly, Terry Richardson, I think it is a fair assumption to make that after those blemishes in her collaboration history, most of her fans will expect better of her than to work with Nicki Minaj since Gaga herself has distanced herself from those problematic people.7 points

tbf she’s mentioned a lot of different unreleased or scrapped tracks in the past, so maybe that’s why she keeps her mouth completely shut these days.6 points

TFM is her magnum opus not BTW. Quality over quantity She has never topped this era or sound yet6 points

I genuinely just want her to "have fun" making music again. It was a bit heartbreaking at how much sadness was contained within her last 2 albums, but I guess it's just part of the process towards healing.6 points

The woman still uses a fax machine to communicate; I highly doubt she knows what Kid Rock has been up to.6 points

The way you all would be stanning hard if the rumored feat artist was Taylor. The hypocrisy on this website keeps rising everyday. A lot of scrutiny and pressure for Gaga, a lot of threat to unstan. Jump ship already!6 points

Sounds like her signature music. And I'm fine with that. Honestly there's no reason to change if it's popular. People put pressure on artists to constantly change their sound and most of the time it ends up being not as successful in terms of replay value.6 points

If Gaga does this, I will be very disappointed in her, but I’d like to believe that I already know she would decline.6 points

It is a narrative though. One ultimately rooted in attacking a woman for daring to be more successful than other women. Particularly funny is the idea that one woman does it the right way while the other does not. Vinyl & CD variants have always been a thing since music became a physical sellable product. For example: Bridge Over Troubled Water - one of the biggest songs of the 70s and one of the most famous singles ever released. In the year it came out, the album had a mono LP/Stereo LP/ 3 different 8 tracks, a casette & a club edition LP. Don't see anyone out there critcising people talking about how many records Simon & Garfunkel sold?5 points
-
And not cuz Taylor has 4(or 5 not sure) variants but cuz Adele had her ORIGINAL album, meanwhile Taylor’s having a re-recording of an old album.5 points

What? She’s not only acknowledged, but also released special 10-year anniversary editions of, her first two studio albums on or around the exact date that they were originally dropped. If nothing is released for ARTPOP’s 10th anniversary, it would literally be unprecedented. Both The Fame and Born This Way, in addition to other celebrations and products, had their own new collections/editions.4 points
