it’s days like today where i think about how wild it is that someone we never met can mean so much to us. friends is by no means a perfect show, but i grew up watching it over and over again. my parents had the DVDs, and it was sorta the one “adult” show they let us watch when my sister and i were really young. as i got older, i always turned it on when i was going through a tough time. the familiarity of it and the love those six people displayed for each other always made me feel so much better. when i was living alone in covid, i would put it on in the background just to feel a little less alone. this is truly such a heartbreaking loss. i can’t believe i’m crying over someone i’ve never met

I remember watching the Judas video for the first time and this scene and this particular way Gaga had her hands together just gave me chills And when i listen to the Monster Ball Speech i get chills. And this video gave life to me

I’ve just sat down with a coffee and started first episode of Friends whilst browsing on GGD and see this! As someone with Autism, I have rewatched friends over and over. Maybe 100’s of times since I was a child. It’s one of my safe places. This has truly shaken me as if it is someone I know and love. So incredibly sad. Thank you Matthew, for bringing me so many laughs and smiles and helping me get through some of my worst days.

It was supposed to be. Lover was the beginning of the end. And it was her worst era charts-wise too. But the way she re-invented herself during the pandemic was unprecedented. Changing her songwriting to telling stories instead of just writing about her life was genius, especially for a fanbase who lives off of what she has to say. Writing music authentic to herself, her fans, and her brand without working with super producers or writing for the charts restored her image better than she could have ever hoped for. And since it was genuine, we all got to see how creative Taylor really is. I've always been half interested in Taylor as a popstar and singer, but shes fully won me over as a musical talent and one of the best musicians of our time.

I am so sad and shocked… he was my childhood celeb crush & I have several of his movies in my dvd collection & even posters & an autograph… friends is one of my absolute favorite tv shows to this day & it helped to comfort me in a difficult time of my life.. and this man helped a great deal to make this show what it is.. may he rest in peace

I’m just glad that she’s an actual artist who writes and is obviously in charge of her own career. Like forget identity politics, if you’re just there following orders from the label and singing what they give you, do you really deserve that kind of success.

Just to be clear though, there was no evidence this was due to drugs currently in his system. And we won’t know that for awhile. He seemed to be clean for the past few years. However, his addiction impacted his health quite a bit, so it could be complications from that. I’m hoping it was something like a heart attack while he was in the jacuzzi. (I mean hoping it was that instead of drugs or on purpose, not really hoping he was dead if that makes sense.)

Oh honey I'm a big fan of your music but sincerely nobody would give a single f*ck about who you dated or not if you didn't market your first albums as storytime from the boy who broke up with you in 15 seconds over a phone call 😭 She is a marketing genius everyone says so she may have not liked it at first but then she enjoyed the ride and exposure the whole "OMG this song's about Harry" or even her saying "THANK YOU to the boy who inspired this song" at a major event. It's like Gaga and dance songs at this point, people associate one thing to another. And why would she care if a small group of crazed theorist people speculate about her sexuality when she presented herself as an ally a long time ago? It doesn't make sense for her to hide in the closet at this age. Honestly I hope she gets more confident as she gets older because this victim narrative has gotten tired over the years.

If we were playing by the same rules as 10 years ago maybe. There were more choices then. But now any female artist near her equivalent barely puts out regular work. It’s similar to 2017 when there were barely any pop albums released and the industry was anticipating her return. Now it feels like she’s the only one to count on for it honestly. Hopefully next year will have more artists coming back.
