Well in that interview she was takling about the song and album in general and even at that she also mentions rebirth, what i think she's conveying with this particular lyric is that seamingly paradox of us being the same and different at once, Same DNA meaning we all come from the same thing that defines our existance and life, we are equal, BUT born this ways meaning we all are also unique and irreplaceable individuals with different variations of the same code, the same but also different, we are one and many at the same time, that's what she says. i think its important to remark both cause a plain claim of individuality can lead to excess of ego and removing oneself from people, but also a identifying too much with a collective can compromise who you are and whats special about every person. i didnt understand it either but it clicked for me when i saw how she recites it in her Jazz Westfield show at the end of Born This Way.

I know the song is about that creepy guy she used to date during Joanne + ASIB and I think her feelings are valid regarding that specific case but I am instantly reminded of her Chromatica interviews whenever I listen to that song (on accident ) and it makes me roll my eyes

of course they'll say **** like that since she is the hottest artist at the moment. Although I believe Gaga is miles more talented than Taylor, weren't the same things said about her when she peaked? I don't want this to come out as I'm attacking someone since hating on Taylor has become the norm, especially on this site, and god forbid if someone defends her. But isn't the slander exhausting at this point And even if publications put out these claims, we all know what's the truth. Again, comparing music, the industry, and consumerism the way it was before and how it is now is basically apples and oranges.- 33 replies

Not entirely true. That's true for her older albums (minus The Fame), but Chromatica was submitted at the end of December for the original release date that was in the beginning of April because vinyl pressings take such a long time. That being said, I don't think it's entirely done just yet.

Most of the Chromatica lyrics you guys cited make sense in context, you just don't like the songs. If I were to write down the lyrics to a song I personally don't like - Highway Unicorn - in the same way, I'm sure it would sound just as dumb. "Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- Run, run with her t- R-r-r-run with her" "Run, run, hot cha, cha, cha, baby she goes" (I don't have any issues with this song's lyrics by the way.)

they make sense “Gotta quit this crying, nobody’s gonna heal me if I don’t open the door” when you ill or have depresion or addiction no other human or action can make you change and start new life but you. you need to open the door for changge “I didn’t ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time” “At least I showed up, you showed me nothing at all” “This is my dancefloor I fought for” “You love the paparazzi, love the fame, even though it causes me pain” those are easy babe "What happens now? I’m not okay and if I scream, you walk away" you ever been in a relationship when 1 person dont understand you and when you say something they turn their hearing off? “Open-minded, I’m so blinded, mistery man, woman phantom” Hapyp and sad the same. You can be open minded but be blind for our sexuality man or woman thses lysics are good, except for plastic doll

The only Gaga lyrics I dislike are the ones where she mentions "God" or religion. "Dude in a lab coat and a man of God Fought over prisms and a forty-day flood Well, I say rainbows did more than they've ever done So why do we gotta fight over ideas?" Guess what Gaga, they did fight and the scientist won. So you can keep that religious BS to yourself.

The funny thing is that people are "so tired of hearing about Taylor Swift", yet they won't stop talking about her. If you don't like her music, or her in general, why waste your precious time hating on her? And in regards to the band's claim, no one ever has said she is the next Michael Jackson. She has her own lane, Michael has his. The two are practically incomparable. If you want to compare success, you can't measure that either since music is consumed much differently in the digital age.- 33 replies
