I don't necessarily think it would really be a smash, I think it may be a little too out there for a lot of the music-buying public but just having an era dedicated to it would be visual perfection. Saying that however, Venus is spun at every party in my LGBT society, they love it so maybe that could spread to further groups? It definitely has club potential. It definitely has club potential. i went to a club that my cousin spun at a few months ago after venus was just released and the crowd loved it... it was a "straight" club too. its just a fun song. not meant to be taken so serious. all my friends love it and agree its really catchy. A MUSIC VIDEO IS VITAL for a song's chart progression, for example Dope managed a #8 debut fuelled by it's youtube awards performance... Now DWUW is doing fairly well for a single without a video as it's in the top 30 on billboard hot 100..It's also rising on radio, about to enter the top 10.. This does not equate a flop. When the video drops, the song will sky rocket on radio & will jump on the hot 100..
