dumbass calling the gazing ball a disco ball

you're an embarrassment

That really shows that most of these reviewers don't even take time to do some research about album and its details before reviewing it. Yes,  they have to review only music but still, it's a bit unprofessional.

I wouldn't say it is very positive, three stars out of five is average, no matter what their "rating system" says.

Nice score, poor review.

Not a positive one at all. Very uninformed one too. :wtf: This guy obviously knows nothing about her, let alone her intentions for this album. And wtf was that "[...] at least proves that she can out-sing Madonna. While that may not be saying much, she’s grabbed Madonna’s glitter ball, too -- a necessary cover-up for that naked Koons statue"? :fail:

1) It's like he has never heard her sing (let alone heard her sing live) during her entire career, ever.

2) We can apparently add Koons' Gazing Ball to the list of things Madonna invented because she once posed with a random blue disco ball on a cover.

Oh, and then he mentions that "she's ripping off R&B" and snarks that Beyonce and Rihanna should "beware". Give. Me. A. Break.

This wordvomit of a review is just pure BS, sorry, and its author went into this with a severely close-minded perception of Gaga and her previous work, then listened to the album once without ever trying to digest what he'd just heard. I have no qualms calling him a philistine and find it funny that he's allowed to criticize art (in whatever form it presents itself) in a real publication, as he clearly doesn't do his research, nor takes the time to think about what he just experienced and his "contributions" as a critic here were those of a pompous ass who feels good bashing stuff they didn't even try to explore and understand.

But such is the plight of the talented, innovative revolutionary - Gaga has always been frustrating to a lot of critics because they can't deny her enormous impact, talent and near-polymath brain and they know she's in a league of her own, yet they are too obstinate to listen to what she's saying except on the most superficial of levels. They might not agree with what she is saying but they can't write her off as a hack and that is what pains these men and women who write these petty and vicious "reviews" instead.

An artist who does not divide critics and audiences is not an innovator at all, and Gaga knows that. She's already a legend in her own right and I hope that those who are currently unable to see the vision behind the intricate tapestry Gaga is constantly weaving with her music, videos, performances, etc. will come to understand it in the future. And if the past is any indication, a great part of the very people who were most vocal in thrashing her work will try to eat their words in time.
